-Hess watches as he gets hemmed in, and incredibly, cracks a devious grin-

<Hess: "Did you really think that it would be this eas-">

-And is promptly hit by one of the blows from the Close Combat, the Aggron wrenches himself free, only to be summarily swept off the deck by a Surf. The Steel-Type shouts and falls headfirst into the water...-

<Hess: "Ackpth! Pah! Pah!">

-Only to surface spitting up water swimming, visibly glaring-

<Hess: "Well I was going to stop and gloat about my gambit here, but since I can't have the courtesy of speaking, I guess I'll just have to act!">

-The Aggron gives a whistle, drawing the attention of the fled pirates on their swimmers and fliers, who just so happen to form a half-circular array around the Mistral Marauder-

<Hess: "Blow her down!">

-A massive confluence of Surfs and Whirlwinds kicks up, picking up the Mistral Marauder and anything nearby it and sending it barreling straight for the sandy beaches south of the Ancient Poni Path. The Aggron's attention turns from the rapidly-leaving ship plus nearby Pokémon... back to the 'ironclad'-

<Hess: "This is it! She be ours for the taking! Surround her and board her at whim!">

-And the pirates proceed to swim and fly in a circle, approaching the boat in an increasingly tight ring-

Farkas: <This world still baffles me.>

-He pokes the location of the Cave of Emptiness before noticing Zumi.-

Farkas: <You're gonna hurt yourself.>

-He hurries after them.-

Kaito: Every, their muchness is their charm! You gotta appreciate their much!

-They grin-

-They turn to smile brightly at Kuu, before refocusing on the battle, right as MGMT is knocked out by the Rock Slide.-

-They consider sending out Vo to match Cervantes, but decide against it and send out Ria instead.-

-he curls up, not baiting the Sucker Punch and letting the Blizzard wash over him, holding on in the red-

-he lands on the ground and immediately leaps into the air-

Jester stretches, audible cracking and popping noises coming from all over his "body". "Okay, let's hurry this up."

A Guardian floats over the clearing, this one is far different, being a simple bulbous eye on a lift platform, it proceeds to take aim at the great Dekarule.

Kaito: (It appears I was wrong about them having any semblance of synergy. Even if that move was with the knowledge that they were unlikely to win anyway, it's still a very selfish tactic. Not quite what I expected from someone who wanted to help teach another trainer... I just hope Lady Kuu isn't too upset by it.)

Some time in between Phaz getting forlorn and him re-engaging conversation, Colton had put his headphones in his ears. They were cold, yes, but he still wore them.

He had probably put them in recently because he was muttering something about a white flag before he said something about how the pieces fit, all while scrolling through his music.

"Oh, did you say something? Uh, I think I'll hold off on pressing for now," he guessed, silencing his music.
