-She sends out a Skarmory. Alli sends out Siivagunner, who plays this-

Siivagunner: <Heeeeere, birdy birdy birdy...>

Skarmory: <Oh, I'll show you "here!">

-They hit Siivagunner with a Slash. Siivagunner staggers, but drops a Thunderbolt, knocking out the Skarmory in one hit-

Siivagunner: <Next!>

-Kahili sends out a Mandibuzz, who immediately thwacks Siiva with a Bone Rush-

Siivagunner: <Ow! Cheater!>

-He hits the Mandibuzz with another Thunderbolt; she cackles and thwacks Siiva over the head with another Bone Rush, knocking him out-

Alli: Oh boy.

-She sends out Keaton, who smiles and waves at the Mandibuzz-

Keaton: <Hi! Do you like rocks?>

-The Mandibuzz is not Steven Stone and thus shakes her head in confusion-

Keaton: <Well HAVE SOME ANYWAY>

-He stomps and summons a Rock Slide, knocking the Mandibuzz out-

-Kahili sends out a Balie Oricorio, who looks at Keaton and groans-

Oricorio: <Oh, this isn't even fai->

-Rock Slide, KO-

-Kahili sends out a Crobat-

Crobat: <I'm the goddamn Crobatman.>

Keaton: <No you're not! He's actually an Umbreon!>

Crobat: <BLASPHEMY>

-He hits Keaton with a Steel Wing, knocking him aside-

Keaton: <Agh!>

-He leaps at the Crobat with a Crunch, only for the Crobat to retaliate on contact with a Giga Drain-

Keaton: <Urgh... I'll remember this...>

-faints-

Alli: Hrm...

-sends out Gerald-

Gerald: <Now sir you need to cool down.>

-Ice Beams the Crobat, critting it-

Crobat: <How the mighty fall...> -faints-

-Kahili sends out a Toucannon-

Toucannon: <HEY YOU WANT FROOT LOOPS>

Kahili: I'd have a golf metaphor here, but I couldn't think of one, so...

-She activates a Z-Ring. The Toucannon soars up, enveloped in a hurricane of air, and slams into Gerald beak-first-

SUPERSONIC SKYSTRIKE

-Gerald, miraculously, survives the hit-

Gerald: <...Ouchie.>

Alli: -smirks- Right back at you.

-She activates her own Z-Ring-

-A deathly chill coats the battlefield as icy blasts erupt in the Toucannon's direction-

Toucannon: <My... Froot Loops...>

-faints-

'Kahili: ...Congratulations. You have cleared your first trial of the Alola Elite 4. Three more challengers await before the Champion. You fought well.

Alli: Thanks... Kiwi? Mareanie? Extra cheesy?

-Stops when she notices Alli staring transfixed at her-

Alli: ...I forgot how beautiful you were.

Olivia: -sighs- It was bad enough with the men. Battle, please?

-She sends out a Relicanth-

Relicanth: <Kids these days! Back in my time we fought the Elite 4 in a fixed order!>

-Alli sends out Botox-

Botox: <Hmph! So you think you're all that? Well I moreso!>

-She swings at the Relicanth with a Brick Break, knocking it aside-

Relicanth: <Damn newfangled moves!>

-it flops around for an Earthquake, damaging Botox heavily. She swings another Brick Break, though, slamming the Relicanth into the wall and K Oing it-

Botox: <Don't mess with a lady!>

-Olivia sends out an Alolan Golem, who K Os Botox with another Earthquake-

Alli: Hmmm...

-sends out Waddles-

Waddles: <Hey! Nice beard you have!>

-Is K Oed by Waddles' own Earthquake-

Waddles: <Sorry!>

-Olivia sends out a Probopass-

Midnight Lycanroc: <Rrrr... Well I'm sure you didn't miss this!>

Olivia: It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll.

-She activates her Z-Ring. The Midnight Lycanroc summons a massive rock and drops it on Keaton as it shatters-

-Keaton takes good damage but shakes it off-

Alli: Too bad Keaton likes speaking with his fists.

-She activates her own Z-Ring. Keaton's paws glow with Aura as he pummels the other Midnight Lycanroc with his fists-

-The other Midnight Lycanroc is down for the count-

Olivia: Congratulations! You've beaten your second Elite 4 trial. Two more awa-

-She stops to notice Alli is staring at her again-

-Echo smiles, and sends out Petunia at the foot of PEFE!Every's bed-

Petunia: (in Sparceltongue) <...Um, hello...>

Echo: I have no doubt that Izaya is an effective emotional manipulator, regardless of how easily swayed his target is. Fortunately, suggesting that he has no interest in Mobius's work may be an effective way to get the organization to turn on him, especially given their history with major betrayals. That said, you likely aren't in a good place to offer such a suggestion, even when you do recover...

"Built thi- Does it look like I [ERK]ing know how this [DOLPHIN NOISE] machine works? I'm a voice actor! We had contractors build this thing!"

The machine stopped, the pipes full of ink, Jester frowned, "Oh come on! I thought I patched out the Obvious Boss weakness out! I swear if I ever see Verita again I'm poking that one eye of his out!"

Alan spoke through Zachary again, "Seriously you are aiming at the hull? Arceus damnit! Do you think this machine works without ink? Aim!"

His mouth vanished and Zachary stabbed himself, Alan let out a gasp as Zachary proceeded to rip out his soul. Alan floated there, "oh. So this is what it's like having no body."

-Ludmilla drops down from the rafters with a Tsareena at her side.-

Ludmilla: Ha HAH!

-The Mimikyu is taken aback before a trial Gengar pops up beside her.-

Mimikyu: <HA HAH!>

-Anastasia uses Trop Kick on the Mimikyu, sending her flying into an empty shelf.-

Anastasia: <Yeah, no, I'm putting a stop to that joke right now.>

-He wanders off in the general direction of the city.-

Phoenix: You guys can come with if you want, but I'm gonna go shopping. I didn't pack any clothes for such hot weather.

Alli: There was definitely a Trial, though. Freaky Silent Hill maze stuff. The guy doing the trial with me seemed way more scared than I was for some reason...

Acerola: Oh! That musta been when I was on vacation. I knew asking the spirits of the dead to run things while I was away was a bad idea...

-she shakes her head and sighs-

...But anyway, battle! :3

-She sends out a Sableye, who cackles-

-Alli sends out Gerald-

Gerald: <Nice glam. But that won't save you!>

-he hits the Sableye with a Moonblast, knocking it out-

-Acerola sends out a Driftblim, who twirls-

Driftblm: <I am an elegant air balloon OF DEATH>

-It Shadow Balls Gerald, who shrugs and downs the Driftblim with an Ice Beam-

-Acerola then sends out a Dhelmise-

-is swung around by a Power Whip, knocking him out-

-The Frosslass Ice Beams, but Botox grabs her in another Crunch and throws her at a wall, K Oing her-

-Alli walks in here and looks around in awe-

???: Pretty impressive, isn't it?

-A figure stands up from the throne at the back of the room, and walks toward Alli, smiling brightly. The light shining down from the clear ceiling illuminates them on the spot.-

Kaito: I knew you'd make it through these challenges easily. Runs in the family, doesn't it?

Alli: -grins- Sib? You beat me to it!

They always do.

-Kaito laughs-

Kaito: Nah, I just talked with Kukui and he set me up here to wait for you. I'm not officially an Alolan Champion, just the final step before you become one.

-They grin-

Kaito: Assuming you're up to it, of course.

Alli: Oh, well, huh.

They didn't even have to try.

-scratches her head-

But of course I'd be up for it!

Kaito: Of course. One more question, then.

-They pull out a Great Ball-

Kaito: I've got a couple options planned, but what I do depends — are you ready for me to go all out against you?

They know they could crush you easy

Alli: -beats her fists together- Of course!

-Kaito smirks.-

Sorry. Heat of the moment, wrong name. Besides, if the influence of clownface is coming from the ink itself, shutting things down here isn't going to help because this is just where the ink is being turned into... Actually hold on is this the thing that makes the ink or the thing that makes the ink into things? Because like if the influence is in the ink then we're going to need to go find that but if this is the machine that makes the ink than breaking the ink pipes is going to just cause further issues with flooding and... Also can someone get mister metalface off me so I can think clearly?

Champion's Room

-Kaito sends out Jazz, who smiles a snakey smile-

Jazz: <Nice seeing you again, Alli.>

Alli: -grins- Nice seeing you.

Solid lead, as always... How are you going to counter?

-Alli sends out Waddles-

Waddles: <Hey, Jazz, how's it going?>

Jazz: <Oh, you know, keeping busy.>

Kaito: We can stick around for small talk later. Jazz, we're sticking to Plan 1!

-Jazz smirks, and Coils up-

Alli: Earthquake!

-Waddles bounces, sending shockwaves at Jazz. She recoils, noticeably hurt but not in any urgent danger.-

Jazz: <Oof! Not bad!>

-She spits a Toxic blob at Waddles. After her attack finishes, a faint pool of sludge climbs up her body, seeping in and healing her ever so slightly.-

-Waddles is meanwhile splatted by the Toxic-

Waddles: <Ack! Gotta think on my feet!>

-He tromps over to Jazz and delivers a Zen Headbutt-

Jazz: <Ow!>

-She shakes her head from the impact, hurt again but not enough to be concerned.-

Jazz: <Sorry, but you're gonna have to let someone else think on their feet for a bit, okay?>

-She coils (not Coils) up, then swings her tail to knock Waddles back. Another dose of Black Sludge seeps into her scales.-

-Waddles is sent back in, and Botox is forced out of her ball-

Botox: <Hmm, is it my turn? Very well~>

-Thwacks Jazz with a Knock Off. The Black Sludge goes splattering backward, and Jazz winces.-

Jazz: <Oof! Nope, not your turn either!>

-She delivers a second Dragon Tail.-

-Botox is promptly forced back into her ball in favor of Gerald.-

Gerald: <Snakey-snakey, your brain is bakey!>

-Assaults Jazz with a Psychic. Jazz hisses in pain, taking way more damage than before and leaving her at low health.-

Jazz: <...Well, I could have had better luck.>

-She spits out a second Toxic to contaminate Gerald as well.-

Gerald: -is splatted- <Ick! That was nasty, but nothing another brain fry can't fix!>

-He uses Psychic again. This one brings Jazz down.-

-Is watching the proceedings-

-PEFE!Every carefully pets Petunia-

-she hears Echo-

-she points a claw at PEFE!Every-

Pleth: <It is painful for me to listen to you speak. If scale rot had a voice it would sound like you right now. Get a psychic to translate if you're going to make any more speeches.>

Pleth: <NOW.>

PEFE!Every: ...

-she points at a Pokeball. Pleth takes it and sends out Cytosol, who has recovered since the Sludge Wave-

Cytosol: <When she was living in the HQ before PEFE took it over, she was close to a module where a bunch of Dunsparce were housed. So she ended up mostly communicating with them in written Sparceltongue. It wasn't a major step from there to speaking it.>

-Anastasia sidesteps the Mimikyu's Play Rough before using another Trop Kick. She takes a Shadow Punch from the supporting Gengar.-

Totem Mimikyu: <Do you not know ANY Poison-Type moves?!>

Gengar: <No Poison, only Ghost. Acerola's orders.>

Totem Mimikyu: <GAH!>

-The Mimikyu and Tsareena descend into an attack-counter cycle, with the Gengar trying to get in hits when he can.-

Ludmilla: Alright, Anastasia, NOW!

-Anastasia pulls out a berry and swallows it down in the blink of an eye.-

-Valvatorez watches, bouncing in his seat and doing that one little clappy-squealy thing.-

ANASTASIA used the STARF BERRY! SPEED raised sharply!

-Anastasia sidesteps both the Gengar's Hypnosis and the Totem Mimikyu's Play Rough before planting another Trop Kick.-

Anastasia: <Okay, this might work.>

Champion's Room

Avada: <...Wasn't expecting to be so early.>

-For a moment, Kaito's expression falters, but they shake their head and play it off.-

Kaito: There was only a little bit Jazz could do, but she did enough.

Avada: <Right, then, the plan?>

Kaito: Plan 1.

-Avada nods, and pinpoints the poisoned spots before firing an exceptionally powerful Hex at them through a pair of Choice Specs.-

-Gerald yowls and flails in pain, being brought to low health, before recovering and giving Avada a smirk.-

Gerald: <Time to get shady myself!>

-flings a Shadow Ball-

-Avada cringes, knocked to mid-health, and repeats the Hex. This finally brings Gerald down-

Alli: Botox, you're up!

-Sends her out-

Botox: <Oh my, that's a lovely pair of spectacles! Would be a shame if something were to happen to them...>

-She suddenly thwacks Avada with a Knock Off, and the Choice Specs go flying off as Avada is knocked to low health.-

Avada: <...Thanks. Didn't need them to see anyway.>

Kaito: Now that you're free, Rain Dance!

-Avada shakes his head to clear it, and summons a rainstorm above the field.-

-Botox lunges and chomps down on Avada.-

Echo: {I learned it as well, after I met Petunia. It wasn't absolutely necessary, perhaps, but it certainly facilitated easier conversation, as well as providing a sort of entry point to learning general Monese.}

-She offers another smile.-

-Immediately after Avada faints, Kaito sends out MGMT.-

-The battle music is interrupted by this.-

MGMT: I'm siiiiiinging in the rain, just siiiiiiinging in the rain~

-A huge bolt of lightning comes crashing down on Botox, accompanied by a crack of thunder.-

Botox: Oh, that's a lovely so-

-Is K Oed-

You can't deal with that kind of force

Alli: Go, Siivagunner!

-Sends out a certain speaker-strapped Vikavolt, who starts playing this:-

Siivagunner: <The real music master is here!>

-Drops his own Thunder-

-Despite the power of the attack, MGMT doesn't look much more than annoyed-

MGMT: -record scratch noise-

-He clears his throat, and begins singing something else in an attempt to overpower Siivagunner's broken-record rip.-

MGMT: I took my love, I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
'Til the landslide brought it down

-On cue, a landside is brought down.-

-Siiva veers out of the way, but is still chipped by some of the rocks-

Siivagunner: <[FLEETWOOD MAC], eh? Not bad, not bad... But have some of THIS!>

-Blasts this in MGMT's face-

-Again, the move doesn't do nearly as much as one would expect. MGMT cuts off again to start a new song, stomping and clapping to cause another bunch of rocks to come tumbling down.-

MGMT: Buddy, you're a boy, make a big noise, playin' in the street, you're gonna be a big man some day!
You got mud on your face, you big disgrace, kicking your can all over the place, singin'—

MGMT: WE WILL, WE WILL ROCK YOU!!!!

-This time, Siiva is hit by a bit more of the rocks for significant damage-

Siivagunner: <No! Not my least favorite [QUEEN] song!>

You're seriously expecting to beat this thing by brute force? Moron.

Alli: Start with a Toxic!

-Siivagunner plays this. This time, the music takes on an odd quality to poison MGMT-

MGMT: !!!

-MGMT retches at the poison damage, but cuts to the middle of his own new song-

MGMT: With the taste of your lips, I'm on a riiiiiiiiiide,
You're toxic, I'm slipping under,
With the taste of a poison paradiiiiiiiiise,
I'm addicted to you
Don't you know that you're toxic?

-He smacks Siivagunner with a poison-boosted Facade-

-Siiva is smacked... and suddenly there are multiple Siivas, all playing the same tune-

-Kaito frowns, and looks up at the sky. The clouds are starting to thin out.-

Kaito: Looks like we've only got a little bit of rain left, so make it count!

-MGMT nods, and begins another song as the clouds start sparking.-

MGMT: I was caught,
In the middle of a railroad track
I looked round,

-The bolt comes down, leaving the rest of the clouds to finally dissipate-

-The real Siiva is hit, brought to low health, and knocked askew, but is lost again amid the clones, which multiply playing their tune-

Kaito: Hmm. You've got us thinking now, sis! MGMT, try to sweep a Flamethrower over them and get at least a little bit on wherever the real one is!

-MGMT nods, and tries to drown out the High Quality Rip-

MGMT: BUT I SET FIIIIIIIIIIIRE TO THE RAIN!
WATCH IT BURN AS I TOUCH YOUR FACE!
WELL, IT BURNED AS I CRIED
CAUSE I HEARD IT SCREAMING OUT YOUR NAME, YOUR NAME!

-The Siivas are burnt, but the real one is unscathed-

Siiva Horde: <[ADELE], really?>

-They blast this for another Bug Buzz. MGMT is chipped away at, being brought down to low health by both the buzzing and the Toxic, but continues his attempt at burning Siiva and trying to drown out the weird music.-

MGMT: I SET FIRE TO THE RAIN,
AND I THREW US INTO THE FLAMES,
WHERE I FELT SOMETHING DIE
'CAUSE I KNEW THAT THERE WAS THE LAST TIME
THE LAST TIIIIIIIIME!

-The Siiva horde switches to this and continues multiplying.-

Siiva Horde: <you would not believe your bolts
if ten million Vikavolts
blast HQ rips as you fell asleep>

-MGMT has never been more insulted in his life.-

-He moves to attack…-

-Then falls asleep. Or rather, passes out from poison damage.-

-Huginn is hit back hard and snarls from the burn damage, going for another Leech Life-

Banjo: <CEASE THAT THIS INSTANT!>

-Now in the red from Leech Life and burn damage, Banjo gives one final Shadow Claw-

-This sends Huginn reeling, also in the red from the attack and Burn damage, but her eyes glow for a last-ditch Psychic-

Banjo: <NOOOOOOO!>

-Banjo dramatically crumples to his knees, and then falls flat on his face.-

-Ria nods, and blows up a Feraligatr-sized bubble to protect her, sapping a bit of her health in the process.-

Huginn: <B-bah...>

-Pokes the bubble with a Leech Life, just barely keeping herself conscious. The bubble starts deflating, but unlike when she was less experienced, it doesn't immediately burst.-

Ria: <Well, it was a good idea, I'll give you that.>

-She steps forward in the bubble slightly to give Huginn a good, hard Crunch.-

-Huginn goes down-

Your last two Pokemon are both weak to Water. You're doomed. Give up now.

-Alli sends out Keaton-

Alli: Dodge as much as possible while trying to bust that bubble!

Keaton: OK!

-Lobs a Stone Edge and braces himself-

-The Stone Edge gets lodged in the middle of the bubble, causing it to deflate fast.-

Ria: <Well, there goes that one!>

-She jumps out of the Bubble Shield as it deflates, and sends a Surf wave across the field to hit Keaton-

-Keaton thinks fast and kicks up a Stone Edge to use as a surfboard, barreling straight into Ria.-

Ria: <Ow!>

-She's knocked to slightly more than half health, and holds up a Red Card to smack Keaton back.-

-Keaton is sent barreling back into his ball, Waddles being sent out in his stead-

Waddles: <...Well then.>

Ria: <Surprise!>

-She fires a Hydro Pump at Waddles as he comes out.-

-Waddles ducks under the Hydro Pump, but is still grazed for decent damage. He retaliates with a Hammer Arm, which Ria likewise is barely grazed by. With Waddles close, she uses another Hydro Pump. Waddles is blasted by the Hydro Pump for serious damage, plus Toxic damage, but himself hits Ria with a close-range Hammer Arm-

'Ria: <Grrr…>

-Now at below a quarter health, Ria sends a Surf wave out all around her, and rides it backwards to get some distance.-

Waddles: <Uh-oh.>

-He is crashed back by the Surf and sent to low health by it and the Toxic damage, but retaliates with a Earthquake that hurtles towards Ria-

Ria: <Aah!>

-She wobbles and attempts to stay on her feet… but ultimately, she collapses.-
