-Kitsune's and Ren's right eyebrows raise in perfect sync.-
Phoebe: You know what to do Dusknoir!
-His Quick Claw activating, the Dusknoir stares at Kitsune as it's eye gleaming eerily as it gathers red energy around it's body.-

Ren: Don't let him steal the show! Dark Pulse, Kitsune!
Kitsune: <With pleasure!>
-Kitsune fires a heavily boosted Dark Pulse at the Dusknoir. As soon as the heavily damaging attack connects, the red energy connects with Kitsune.-
Ren: Kitsune!
Dusknoir: <... also became the first air crash victim?>
Kitsune: -suddenly super weak and not understanding what just happened- <Uh... No... I didn't...>
Ren: -remorsefully recalling Kitsune- I'm sorry Kitsune...
-Ren sends out Rio, who is still Mega Evolved.-

Phoebe: Time to bring out another one of my best friends!
-Pheobe sends out a Gengar. Gem like object gleams from within the spiky things on its back.-
Gengar: <Aww... why aren't you smiling?>
Ren: Foresight!
Phoebe: Hypnosis!
Ren: Crap!
-Both mon lock eyes with each other with the Gengar losing it's immunities to Normal and Fighting-type moves as Rio sinks to his knees fast asleep.-
Ren: Double Crap!
-As Ren pulls Rio's Cherish Ball, Phoebe pulls out an unset Key Stone. Phoebe giggles brightly as the Stone Begins to shine with prismatic light.-
-Mega Gengar grins broader still as its third eye opens and Mega Gengar's shadow binds Rio's, locking the sleeping Mega Lucario in place.-
Mega Gengar: <Awww... c'mon why are you still not smiling?>
Phoebe: Curse!
Mega Gengar: <Remember, to keep smiling despite your all the bad things!>
Ren: Rio, come on! Up and at 'em! I need you to wake up and use Close Combat!
-Despite Ren's pleas, Rio sleeps on as a obscura spike "pierces" the Mega Gengar causing red and black energy to engulf Rio, causing his face to contort in pain as the Curse takes hold.-
Phoebe: Dream Eater!
Ren: FFFFFFRRRRRAAAAAACK!
Mega Gengar: <Awww... You're frowning. Here let take care of that bad dream of yours.>
-The Mega Gengar appears behind Rio as the Mega Lucario continues to sleep and opens its mouth as energy its pulled from Rio, healing Mega Gengar considerably as Rio's face slackens.-
Mega Gengar: -grinning broadly- <See? Helping others makes you feel better yourself!>
-But with a final violent shudder, the curse takes hold of Rio once again, causing Rio to revert to his normal form as he falls forward.-
Ren: -Recalling Rio- Thanks Rio, You tried your best...
-in thought- Gamma has been burned and it would NOT be good to send him out against this guy because of Hex. Rio and Kitsune are down and no one else has a type advantage here that I'm trying to save for surprise value against Steven...
-After a moment's deliberation, Ren decides to fall back on a plan he had hoped he'd never actually have to use...-
Ren: My two greatest stars are unable to perform. But as the oldest tradition goes, "The show must go on". Pierre, time for you to take the stage!

-With his usual poise, the male Gardevoir with a bit of silk-like material tied around is left wrist takes his place as Mega Gengar's shadow grabs Pierre's.-Mega Gengar: <My... aren't you fetching? Why not give us all a smile?>
Pierre: <I respectfully decline your request. I also strongly advise against using the strategy that you used on my friend unless you feel like a nap yourself.>
Phoebe: Use Curse!
Ren: Heal Bell!
-As an obscura spike once again "pierces" the Mega Gengar causing red and black energy to engulf Pierre, causing a curse to grip the young Gardevoir. Pierre, despite the pain the Curse caused, maintains his composed face as he begins to sing in a beautiful Alto voice and exuding energy that that causes the Poke balls in Ren's coat to shine brightly.-
Phoebe: Take advantage of him having Synchronize! Use Shadow Ball!
Mega Gengar: <Maybe you should smile a bit more?
-Pierre smiles smugly as he begins to wave the silk material that was on his wrist like a handkerchief in a farewell gesture as the Gengar forms a large ball of obscura.-
Mega Gengar: <See? I wasn't so hard!>
Ren: Pierre, take five!
-As Ren recalls Pierre and sends out his replacement, Phoebe blinks as she realizes that Pierre wasn't wearing a silk scarf, but a Shed Shell of Silcoon silk.-
Phoebe: -pouting- Awww... Him again?
-Gamma float where Pierre once stood, his burn healed and properly trapped by Mega Gengar's ability. Ren grins as his third partner somehow manes to sound so smug despite his even voice.-
Gamma: -in response to Phoebe's question- Affirmative.
Ren: -happy that his ploy actually worked- And now Gamma, time for the climax! Conversion 2!
Phoebe: Use Hypnosis!
Gamma: <Updating system resistances and initiating anti-sleep protocols.>
-In a display of worthy of a former Contest pokemon specializing in Cleverness, spins his body as he uses conversion to prevent himself from meeting the Mega Gengar's sleep-inducing gaze.-
Gamma: -his body now gray and black- <Update complete.>
Ren: And now for the Finale! Dark Pulse!
Phoebe: Hypnosis!
Mega Gengar: -his three eyes gleaming hypnotically- <I may be smiling, but I'm not happy!>
-Once again spinning his body, Gamma uses his body's motion to fire a spiraling beam of black obscura hitting the Mega Gengar head on, reverting it to it normal form as is blown backwards as its smile turns to a pained grimace.-
Normal!Gengar: <Maybe using two curses wasn't such a happy idea after all...>
