-She sighs, then shakes her head-

Sarah: ...Where are you headed this time?

Bohr: -Serving as an impromptu psychologist and writing on a board- <...So if I'm understanding this right, it didn't go too well.>

It went about as well as sparing those Super Mutants back at Necropolis, except that it didn't end up in a settlement becoming a ghost town in more ways than just it being inhabited by Ghost types. He probably thinks I hate his guts.

-Sighs-

Good to see that it appears to finally be getting through his head that he can't continue his current path, though I was a bit too late to say it. I don't want him to end up like me.

Bohr: <What makes you say that?>

We're a bit more alike than he'd care to admit, it's kinda creepy how much of myself I see in Herbert.

Divinebow: FBI Agent? Well... not on that scale.

Infinity: <Eh, don't worry about it. Break and Valkyrie have had their fair share of stupidity, so I'm used to things like that.>

Valkyrie: <HEY! Who are you calling stupid?!>

- Valkyrie glares at Infinity, baring her teeth in anger. Infinity rolls his eye in response, but otherwise dismisses it. -

Break: <In Valkie's defense, you're mixing up stupidity with arrogance. Two different things there, Mr. Infinity.>

Herbert: ...Wherever the wind takes me, I suppose. Though if you want a less pretentious answer, then I still have to take care of Allen and my father. I'll go wherever they go, presumably. After that... well, I've got plans. Whether or not they turn out to be big plans or little plans depends on how well things go.

- Is pondering whether to challenge the gym or not -

(thinking) I feel a little bad for lying to him... after all, I won't be seeing him again... nor any of the others, for that matter.

- Looks at the six badges in my Kalos badge case -

I've already made my decision, after all. Get the remaining two badges, and then I'm going home.

- Closes the badge case, putting it into my bag -

I've only told Maggie so far, so I wonder how I'll tell the others?

- Shakes head -

Ah, it's not important.

- Glances at the pokeballs on my belt -

I wonder if Aigla and Sylvester have had enough training?

Sarah: ...Then we'll definitely meet again. They're the J-Team's enemies as well, and I've learned that there are no coincidences.

-She manages another slight smile-

Sarah: And as cheesy as it sounds, I'll be looking forward to the day we do cross paths again.

Denshi: <I think the friend of yours needs a hug...>

Eridanus: Oh, okay. I just asked. Because stuff happens.

Fox: <Hey you! What's with this big fancy sword of yours?>

Forge: <Well I can assure you that local Professor is a... moron. Also, he's been assaulted by fangirls. And    fanboys   . WHAT.>

-Sarah blinks-

-Herbert waves a hand at Sarah's chest.-

Herbert: You know, the fact that your two friends from Unova are going to be staying with you permanently?

Kirk: <...Um...>

Valkyrie: <Hmph, he thinks I'm "stupid" just because I refuse to evolve into a hideous Zoroark.>

Divinebow: It does, indeed. So... where are you heading to, if you don't mind me asking?

Infinity: <As an Aegislash, well... I am the BFS! I am the BFS that lives for the thrill on the battlefield!>

Valkyrie: <I thought you live partially in the ground, since you seem to like to wedge yourself into it like some kind of carrot-sword!>

- Valkyrie casts a snobby, sidelong glance as she scratches the back of her ear with a hind leg. Infinity somewhat falters. -

Break: <Valks is quite the grump, I won't deny it. Maybe hugs would help her out.>

Valkyrie: <Eww! Do you really think I'd want some random group of Pokémon we just met to glomp me without warning?!>

Break: <Chill, girl. Chill.>

-She rolls her eyes, then turns to Kirk-

Sarah: You were away when I gave the news, so... well, I'm trans. I'm staying as Sarah.

-Kirk blinks.-

Kirk: <You are? Huh... I thought this kind of thing just kind of happened to you on a semi-regular basis. That's... good to hear, though. I'm happy that you're happy and all that.>

Herbert: ...We should probably get around to saying our goodbyes, shouldn't we?

Jane, Anom, Gamer, Meddler, Daisy, they're all gone. Pentigan's Arceus knows where at any given moment, and I get the feeling Crewe's going to disappear for a while. Again. I'm pretty sure that DS is leaving too.

-Pulls out the Adamant and Blue Orbs-

We fought horrible eldritch beings together, the threats these days are a lot more... mundane. Silver suits and assholes with firearms are a far cry from beings possessing everyone. Things you don't really need the help of legendaries to deal with.

Bohr: <And the people you've met since then?>

-Sighs-

Not really that close to most of them. Half the time I wonder if Herbert's right and most of what I've got are more sycophants who literally let me get away with murder than human friends nowadays.

Bohr: <And Tokarev? Cipher?>

They'll be back, as sure as the Sun will rise, except this time I'm making damn sure we're ready for them.

Sarah: Er, right.

-Beat-

Sarah: ...Still no hugs?

-Herbert gives a smile.-

Herbert: I suppose I can make an exception. Just this once.

-He pulls Sarah into a hug as Kirk simply watches rather awkwardly.-

Herbert: Again, thanks a bunch for helping me out even when I was at my worst and lowest, and sorry about all the Tauroscrap that I've given you in the past.

Divinebow: I'm assuming your own reasons are personal, as well?

Break: <Oh, Inina? I'm sure she wouldn't mind.>

- Inina sighs, finally peeking out from behind Break's back. —

Valkyrie: <I'd rather be dashing and slightly weak than disgusting yet powerful, thank you very much.>

-Sarah smiles and hugs back tightly-

Sarah: Don't worry about the Tauroscrap. Helping me through all the crap I've been through is more than enough to make up for it.

Anistar City

-Herbert pulls away after a few moments.-

Herbert: Happy to help. Anyway, you take care of yourself... I want to have something good to come back to, after all. And before you say anything, I'll be sure to keep myself safe. See you later, Sarah.

Kirk: <Yeah... goodbye for now.>

-The two of them start heading towards Route 18.-
