-Herbert gives a sigh and turns towards the librarian-esque Lyuri.-

Herbert: I'll gladly play by your rules if you'll just show me how to get out of this place as fast as humanly possible. If I've learnt anything, it's that the minds of people who hate me generally try to kill me on a disturbingly frequent basis.

Herbert's Mindscape, Eterna City

-After about a minute or so, a boy who resembles Herbert in a blue sweater vest and glasses emerges from the library across the street and approaches Lyuri.-

Blue!Herbert: I was informed that we had visitors?

Library - Lyuri's Mindscape

"How fortunate that this isn't the case, no matter how much you try to convince yourself of it." said the girl, giving a sigh, but keeping a completely inexpressive face "My name is Memory. I'm the aspect in charge of organizing the memories of Lyuri Riese. Each book here..." she said as she gestured to one of the bookshelves with one hand "... represents the memories of the girl you despise so much. Each day of every year since her birth, some more vague than others."

Eterna City - Herbert's Mindscape

Lyuri just gives Blue a half-hearthed wave.

- On closer inspection, the Team Flare Member is abusing someone's Pokémon. -

Morrigan: ...Are you trying to abuse that Pokémon?

- The Team Flare member shakes his head, even though he has blood on his hand. -

Morrigan: *in sudden booming, loud-ass voice* THEN YOU WILL BE CURSED. FOREVERMORE YOU WILL SUFFER MY GOTHIC WRATH. I WILL SEE TO IT THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE THIS CURSE EASILY BROKEN. FUS-RO-DAH, MOTHERFUCKER.

- As Morrigan hams it up, she makes a gesture behind her back indicating her Haunter, HABIT, to use Curse. -

-Herbert rolls his eyes.-

Herbert: Okay, let's skip the passive-aggressive stuff. Didn't I literally just tell her that I don't despise her? I can dislike someone without hating them.

-He idly picks up one of the books and opens it at a random page.-

Herbert: So, Memory, as fascinating as I'm sure it'd be to sit here and read through the contents of this entire library, could you point me in the direction of the exit? Only I don't plan on staying here for any longer than I have to.

Herbert's Mindscape, Eterna City

-Blue!Herbert raises an eyebrow and adjusts his glasses.-

Blue!Herbert: ...You appear to be rather non-communicative at present. Regardless, I assume that you still want assistance leaving this place as soon as possible?

Sylva: -Starts clapping- <Good job both of you!>

Jacob: ... I should probably go fight the gym now but... -Sighs-

-Looks up- Well... I don't feel like doing much any more. Is something wrong?

A Few Hundred Miles East of Almia, And About Two Straight Down

Zrone: -Lifts up his welding mask that he's wearing over his normal mask and takes a step back-

"... Finally. It's done."

-Several lights turn on in the chamber revealing a large silver airship-

"And now..." -Presses a button on a remote-

-Several multicolored moving and some strobe lights activate-

".... Perfect."

HABIT uses Curse!

The Team Flare member begins to feel ill. He slides to the ground with a thud, coughing up blood. As he falls unconcious, he sees a psychotic, grinning Morrigan watch him with that token unsettling stare.

"Surely. However, as I think this is a rather rare opportunity, I'd like to make you a few questions, as well as give you some answers" said Memory.

Eterna City - Herbert's Mindscape

"Eh... I'm not really in a rush, it's not like I have anything to do." said Lyuri, as she now sat on the ground.

Anistar City

Teishi and Ryu then turn to Sylva

"<Hey, little big sis!>" said Teishi, waving

"<It's been a while.>" said Ryu.

Alex: Oh, oh. Oh man. Uh... well, uh, I know what Team Flare looks like, I know what he is, but, uh... is he gonna be alright?

Sylva: <Haihai big little brother! Heya Ryu! It has been a while so I wanted to catch up!>

-Herbert gives a sigh, then sits down with the book open on his lap.-

Herbert: ...Fine. I'm in a good mood, so I'll play your little game. How many other aspects are there in this place, and how many are baying for my blood?

Herbert's Mindscape, Eterna City

-Blue!Herbert, being distinctly unused to dealing with people, seems to be unsure of how to deal with the situation in front of him.-

Blue!Herbert: ...Would you rather I escorted you to the Library, then? I cannot imagine that you would have much interest in attending Purple's little tea party.

Afterwards..

Afterwards, Morrigan and HABIT went to a hotel to sleep for the night.

HABIT: <I FREAKIN' LOVED SEEING THAT GRUNT FREAK OUT WHEN YOU "CURSED" HIM. CLASSIC!>

Morrigan: I'm not sure what you're saying, but I think it's compliments for the "curse" I pulled on the Grunt. Am I right?

- HABIT nods. -

Morrigan: I knew it! I'm getting better at understanding you! Anyways, goodnight. Bitter nightmares.

HABIT: <GOOD NIGHT, MORRIGAN. BITTER NIGHTMARES.>

- Morrigan and HABIT fall asleep. -

DS' hotel room, yesterday

I figure I will. And dammit some of the new guys could really grow some backbone, they'd be Glitchbait if they were around back then.

Library - Lyuri's Mindscape

"Eight and zero." said Memory, remaining inexpressive "How curious, I was certain you'd be asking about what was going on before you made this visit."

Eterna City - Herbert's Mindscape

"Sure."

Anistar City

"<Oh, really? Well, I think it may not be the best time.>" said Ryu

"<We have to plan and train for our secret ninja operation! Or at least help those who are getting involved train!>" said Teishi.

DS' hotel room - yesterday

... Well, at least I can count on you not giving up easily.

Lyuri's Mindscape, Library

Herbert: Well... she didn't want to tell me, so I figured it'd be better not to pry. I'm assuming that she and Duke had a fight or something, not that Duke would ever say so much as a word against her.

Herbert's Mindscape, Eterna City

-Blue!Herbert helps Lyuri to her feet and leads her into the Library, which, whilst still narrow and cramped, appears to have been tidied up rather recently. He sits her down at a small table somewhere near the back of the building.-

Blue!Herbert: ...Do you want a drink? Mental coffee is unfortunately nowhere near as good as the real thing, but aside from that most beverages taste reasonably realistic.

Sylva: <... Oh.>

<... I guess... you don't have time to play... do you...?> -Looks down sadly-

Library - Lyuri's Mindscape

"How naive. I'll gladly reveal the truth to you, if you think you can handle it. A nightmare born from another is not something easy to handle." said Memory, her expression changing to a more daring one.

Library - Herbert's Mindscape

"Sure, I guess I'm gonna need some coffee. I don't plan on sleeping again for a while." said Lyuri

Anistar City

"<Aw, sorry little big sis, but this is really important! We can play some other day!>" said Teishi, looking a little sad.

Anistar

Sylva: <You keep saying that but you just keep spending time with your frogy friends... because you all want to be ninja and I can't be one so everything is always really important and I never get to do anything because mommy's busy and I haven't seen daddy and Jakeys tried taking care of me but he doesn't know what to do and it's all right...>

<... I'm just lonely...>

Lyuri's Mindscape, Library

-Herbert gives a nod.-

Herbert: Go ahead. Nightmares I can handle. I'm no stranger to them myself.

Herbert's Mindscape, The Library

-Blue!Herbert disappears for several minutes, returning with two cups of coffee.-

Blue!Herbert: I should warn you in advance that since your body is not actually consuming any caffine, any extra wakefulness provided by this coffee is purely a placebo.

-He sits opposite Lyuri and slides a cup of coffee over to her.-

Blue!Herbert: Now, emotions are not my field. I tend to leave such matters to Red, Purple or Yellow. But you are quite clearly suffering from some form of emotional duress, and I fear that further time spent in the Mindscape would only worsen these issues. So, is there any way that I can alleviate some of your stress?

Morrigan's Mindscape

Morrigan: .... where the F UCK am I?

- as Morrigan gets up, she notices she's in a dark, gothic graveyard. it's night. a blood-red moon is in the sky. -

Morrigan: coooool.... I like this graveyard.

- a college guy approaches. he has brown, semi-long hair and eyes with dark circles under them. in short... -

- he looks like a murderer. -

Morrigan: who are you?

- the murderer smirks a familiar smirk. -

Morrigan: .... HABIT?

- HABIT nods. -

HABIT: WE ARE BASICALLY IN YOUR MIND. THIS *he aggressively gestures towards his body* IS WHAT YOU IMAGINE I WOULD LOOK LIKE AS A HUMAN. PRETTY HANDSOME, RIGHT?

- Morrigan nods. -

Library - Lyuri's Mindscape

"Very well..."

Memory then seems to focus a bit and then opens her book. Upon doing so a bright light enveloped the entire room and once the light died, Memory and Herbert were both watching as Lyuri's nightmare played in front of them.

"Just don't blame me if you can't take it."

Library - Herbert's Mindscape

"I don't think so. I doubt anyone can help me out of this and, frankly, I'm tired of burdening everybody like this." said Lyuri, sighing

Anistar City

Teishi and Ryu glance at each other, rather unsure of what to do

"<... I... Shouldn't you try looking for your dad then? I mean... We're both in the same team and he's your actual family so maybe he'd be better at helping you feel less lonely...?>" said Teishi, his voice without any confidence in it's tone.

Anistar

Sylva: <He's not exactly the best dad. I mean he's good but...>

<...> -Sighs-

<Nevermind I guess...> -Floats off-

Lyuri's Mindscape, Library

Herbert: I'm made of sterner stuff than you might think, thanks.

-His confidence rapidly starts to disappear as he watches the nightmare, growing steadily paler as it goes on. However, he only averts his gaze at the parts where his own dead body is visible. After the display finishes, he looks about ready to vomit.-

Herbert: ...Jeez. I've had some pretty nasty nightmares before, but... I don't think any of them have ever been that bad.

Herbert's Mindscape, The Library

-Blue!Herbert takes a sip of his coffee.-

Blue!Herbert: I am a mental abstraction representing a collection of an individual's personality traits who spends approximately ninety-nine point two per cent of his time keeping this library clean and organised. I welcome the distraction.

-Mezzo is sitting at a table, with an Xtransceiver link to Forte up-

Forte: This is so unfair! Not only are you guys ridiculously far away from us, you had to take Shadow too?

Mezzo: I don't know why Shadow is here. I told you that. I guess you should ask Fortis, because she's the one who found him. You could probably get her to fly him over to you if you asked nicely.

-Shadow is sitting near Mezzo, and is approached by a particular Malamar-

Xel'lotath: <You are an interesting one. You seem to have experience in insanity.>

-Shadow folds his ears back-

Shadow: <Let's not talk about that.>

Xel'lotath: <And why not? Do you fear the madness?>

Library - Lyuri's Mindscape

Once they go back to the library, they seemed to be in a different part of it, Memory was sitting on a chair behind a balcony, where she was now writing on the book, remaining completely inexpressive

"A nightmare born from another, mixed with feelings of guilt, regret, self-loathing, among others. You may think she acts as if she was just a victim or that she blames you for what goes wrong. But in reality you couldn't be farther from the truth, as there's nobody else she blames as much as herself."

Library - Herbert's Mindscape

"... I can't help anybody. If it wasn't for my involvement in Orre, there would be a lot less suffering for everyone. Why do I stay with them, if the only thing I can do is hurt those who I care for?" asked Lyuri, sighing "I never really help, just hinder."

Anistar City

Teishi and Ryu look at each other again and the only thing Ryu does is to point towards Sylva as if telling Teishi to follow her, which he does

"<Wait! I'm sorry sister, I didn't know you were feeling lonely because of me. The last thing I want is for someone to feel like I'm ignoring them...>" said Teishi.
