Herbert: You could try gathering information in a way that wasn't so pointlessly reckless. And in case you didn't already know, I've taken it upon myself to try and solve a murder case. Hence the assholish Bisharp hanging around.

Falchion: <Hey!>

Herbert: I meant the other assholish Bisharp.

-Leonard cycles through several expressions before finally settling on "completely impassive". Gallade, meanwhile, saunters over to Pakhet and Montu.-

Leonard: ...Tell me, are you familiar with the classical Kalosian school of fisticuffs?

Cleo bursts out into laughter while Lawrence can't help but to do the same.

Lawrence: -Placing a hand on Mikki's shoulder- Sorry to break it too you, kid, but Cleo shows those signs to most men (and a few women as well). You were nothing more than the target of the day.

Cleo: This guy is a crack up.

Cleo and Lawrence both quiet down and watch to see what happens between Leonard and Mikki. Meanwhile, Montu and Pakhet are still arguing between themselves.

Pakhet: <I wasn't expecting this to happen!>

Montu: <YOU KNOW WHAT HE'S LIKE! It's bad enough you decided to prank him, but dragging our daughter into this?>

Pakhet: <I.. I thought it would be fun.>

Montu: <Urgh. Sometimes, you act like a damned kit Pakhet! Now look, you got our daughter hur- Oh hey Gallade ol' boy.>

-Can see people training Sliggoo outside-

Amorpha: -Is currently soaking up the rain-

Kamella: -Is actually Amorpha's perch-

Huh..." said Duke, looking rather curious for a moment before reverting to his usual calm expression "Anyway, while I do admit that it's a quite risky situation to be put in, Lyuri did say that my powers make me quite fit for the job, which is part of why I joined. I figured I'd have an easier time there than most of the others."

-Herbert blinks incredulously at Duke for several moments.-

Herbert: Wait... did you just say that Lyuri put you up to this?

-Gallade shrugs at Pakhet.-

Gallade: <I don't need context. Just tell me which sounds best: psychically convincing the asswipe that Wurmple are eating him from the inside out or just making him hear voices for the rest of his life.>

Blackquill: <I'm beginning to think you're somewhat hard of hearing with how often you repeat what's said to you in question form.>

"It was her suggestion, yes. She discussed the idea with others and asked me if I would be willing to do it. She had a good reasoning for it so I thought it would be in everyone's best interest if I accepted. Well, except yours."

-Herbert tugs at his hair in agitation.-

Herbert: Ugh... has that girl learnt anything? Evidently not, otherwise she wouldn't be so eager to try and put you through the same experience... tell me, do you do anything without her telling you to? Anything at all? Do you need her permission to eat? Drink? Sleep? Breathe?

-Gallade thinks for a moment.-

-Herbert glances down at the ground, looking rather abashed but still highly agitated.-

Herbert: ...Look, I'm sorry, but... seriously, what the hell is she thinking? Her skills didn't do her any good last time she tried something like this, did they? This whole thing is nothing but trouble, Duke... hell, if you're so desperate to have an Auric in the Illusion Project, then I'll volunteer. Anything to stop you from throwing yourself into such obvious danger.

-Gallade grins.-

Gallade: <Alright then. I'll wait and see how Leo handles things before adding my own personal touch.>

-Joseph is standing by the side of the Cleo/Mikki/Leonard/etc. confrontation. He is standing still as a statue-

Blackquill: <A Lucario and her trainer I met in the clink once told me there is a reason that Aurics are generally in interpol and not spies. Their abilities are often too easy to notice, and it leads to swift rising in the ranks, which leads to early discovery. Of course you can mask your abilities, or use some of them to avoid detection, but aside from the easy of slipping up, it's easy for others to find you. As well Aurics don't have good mental shielding, any psychic would easily pick you out.>

I don't think that's fair." said Duke, with another sigh "You're not as skilled with Aura as I am, so I'm more likely to keep my cover than you. That and it would be irresponsible for a teacher to do something like that to his student, this is no training, I don't put you through needless risk if I can fare better than you in this situation." he added, with a hint of a smile.

(Meanwhile, a Magnezone has floated up to the Pakhet/Montu/Gallade conversation.)
