Herbert: Since their leader ran off and I captured their second-in-command, I'm their de facto leader now. Falchion's keeping them in line for me. He may be an asshole, but he's an obedient asshole, at least. Oh, and your Ralts just evolved into a Kirlia. Nothing to worry about.

Kirk: <Ideological differences. And I have no clue who my parents are, either. Not that it really matters; I have never understood the value that humans place on familial relationships.>

Lyuri goes to check out the bush just for a Deerling to come from it, rather nervous

"<H-Hey...>" said the Deerling "<I totally wasn't spying on you two, I swear!>"

"He lies better than Herbert at least." said Lyuri, half-joking as she rolled her eyes.

"Why were you eavesdropping?" asked Duke, with a small smile to Lyuri

"<U-U-Uh... I just saw you two together and...>" said the Deerling, getting too embarrassed to talk

"Oh boy, it's one of those guys..." said Lyuri.

"You need to wake up earlier, Rawst." said Sakura, giggling as she petted Blythe.

Amanita: Too bad there aren't any Dark/Psychic types...

Rawst:Yeah... So, where do you think they went?

-Herbert continues to type, not looking at Nathan.-

Herbert: For a start, she is - well, she was - a Ralts. Ralts always evolve into Kirlia. And I can identify most Pokemon species on sight. Being made to do a test about random mons from the National Pokedex every night before bed kind of drills that into you.

Kirk: <Precisely. Though as this conversation proves, sometimes interactions outside of one's team can be important. It has been a while since I met someone with a similar mindset. The only person on Herbert's team who understands the importance of strength in combat is Wrex, and he is nothing more than a child.>

Nathan: "Okay then, what else? Or were only the evolution patterns taught to you in that school?"

Lentimas Pokemon Center

Herbert: Oh no, I didn't learn them at school. This was all my father. He taught me all about Pokemon training - type advantages, evolution patterns, movesets, the works. I think he wanted me to follow in his footsteps and become a trainer, go on to challenge the League like he did. Which is what I'm doing now, so in a way, he succeeded.

-He gives a derisive snort.-

Herbert: In any case, I haven't looked at a Pokedex for months. Haven't needed to. My memory serves me well enough. So, is there anything you need to know about Kirlia?

Anita: <Congrats on evolving, Sophia! Now you don't look like a pushover but a ballerina! I don't know if that's improvement, but it's something!>

Sophia left the comment slide despite the insulting sting of it, she knew A Nita well enough to tell she's just messing around.

"I think they may have went to Giant Chasm, I'm rather scared of going there because of Kyurem..." said Sakura, holding Blythe closer to her, while looking rather worried.

Route 7

"Well, waste of time, let's go?" said Lyuri, to Duke.

"<W-Wait... Are you a trainer?>" asked the Deerling, nervously.

"Hm? Well, I am." said Lyuri, rather puzzled by the question

"<I-It's just that... Well...>"

"You want to come with us?" guessed Duke.

"<Yes! Wait, no! I mean... More or less.>" said the Deerling, growing increasinly nervous "<I was just wondering... Do you many different mons?>"

"I do, yeah." answered Lyuri, growing tired of that conversation

"<Could I meet them?>"

"I'm in a hurry, so unless you come with me, no." said Lyuri, bluntly.

"<... Ok then, I'll come.>" said the Deerling, still nervous.

"Eh? Well, fine then..." said Lyuri, rather surprised.

Lyuri then throws a Nest Ball at the Deerling, who is immediatelly caught by it.

"Well... That was weird, let's go now?" asked Lyuri, turning back to Duke as she picked the Nest Ball from the ground

"Sure, let's go, Sakura may be looking for us." said Duke.

The couple then started heading back to Mistralton.

-Herbert simply acknowledges Jacob with a nod, still focused on his research into the Ghost Lord.-

Herbert: Never claimed to be an expert. Just very good at remembering things. And in case you were wondering, Kirlia are only really native to Sinnoh. Usually around marshy areas. Ralts are more widespread; Kirlia, Gardevior and Gallade are very rare in the wild.

-He glances over at Nathan.-

Herbert: You really need to be more specific. Evolving gives her stronger abilities and a wider moveset, but hey, what do I know? I'll let the self-professed "Pokemon Genius" Jacob here tell you instead.

Kirk: <Indeed.>

-Kirks takes a look around the area.-

Kirk: <I should probably be getting back to my trainer shortly. But would you happen to know a way we can keep in touch?>
