Look at his face during the scene where he's discussing his parents to the soothsayer: If that's not a conflicted mind then I don't know what is.
He also let the Soothsayer go, quite pleasantly too (by his standards)
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelHe's a conflicted mind who ultimately chose Evil. And all the "emotional conflict" could have been avoided had he not went and slaughtered a village of innocent pandas.
I wouldn't say he's a Complete Monster though, at least not by animated movie standards. Vile, yes, but it's very clear that the idea that he had severe emotional problems derived from his relationship with his parents is clearly still evident in the movie given how he treats the Soothsayer.
In the end, he found happiness in death, and that itself makes him very overwhelmingly anti villainesque, given that the likes of Lotso, Jafar and Ursula remain far more pathetic selfish fucks who fight with every breath to ensure everyone suffers.

Oh man, I still haven't seen this movie. I need to get the DVD sometime.
Saw this film a few days ago.
MUCH better than the first. Being a fan of Interspecies Romance, I really liked the bits between Po and Tigress (especially since it's being taken slowly and more realistically). My favorite would have to be that bit towards the end before Po starts redirecting the cannonballs.
This film is a serious contestant with How To Train Your Dragon for my favorite Dream Works film and one of of my most favorite films of all time.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! The Po/Tigress Ship Tease is probably the best handled not-quite-romantic relationship I've seen in a movie recently.

Looking for some stories?Watching it again.
Still full of win.
Agreed. I'm looking forward to see how it progresses in the third film.
Also, I've figured out the Portmanteau Couple Name for Tigress/Po. You ready for this?

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I ought to watch it again. I watch bits and pieces of it sometimes, but I've only seen the whole thing once.
Looking for some stories? So, I decided to browse through FF.net since the fan fic recs on here seem to rarely have a Shipping Fic centered around any of my ships.
I'm really bad at this. Some just sound awful via the summary but I'm generally cynical about fan fics since I expect them all to suck so I rarely check any of them.
This isn't helped by the fact that I tend to be right.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I see Po and Tigress's relationship as being strictly platonic. Tigress and Monkey seem more compatible.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I think there's probably a fair case to be made for Po and Viper, too. But Tigress was always my favourite, and I'd always identified a lot with Po, so I shipped them right from the first movie.
I'm curious how you figure, though? I'd never really seen it, myself.

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I prefer Viper/Po purely because Viper doesn' get enough focus in this series
Which SUCKS cuz she's always been my favourite

"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelViper works more well as a sister than a lover imo.
Finally watched the whole thing again. Just as great as the first time.
Damn, I still teared up at that last scene with his mom. I don't tear up at things like that twice. Not that I'm really complaining...
Hoping it gets that Oscar. It's earned it.

Looking for some stories?Rewatching clips from Kung Fu Panda 1, I just noticed that the Leit Motif I thought was Tigress' theme in Kung Fu Panda 2 was actually in Kung Fu Panda 1, but seems to be a theme for the Furious Five in general. That's interesting.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Regarding Tigress and Po, I wonder if, 'ship or no, they have another commonality. I looked in both movies, and in Lo A, and some of the specials, and I cannot recall seeing another tiger anywhere. Did I miss them, or is Tigress even more like Po than we thought?
In real life, both tigers and pandas are endangered species. Maybe the movie's playing with that fact to make them more similar?
Im serious.
