It depends on the situation. If it's at night, the advantage goes to Jackie...unless Mercer develops bioluminescence...

Saxton Hale doesn't have a real comic...yet. But given Valves ability for defictionalisation....

Given that all Alex would have to do to survive this "Black Hole" would be cut off his arm, chuck it away and regrow the rest of his body from it, I'd say he wins. And if they're not even in the dark then forget it.

Let's say Alex wins, he'll absorb the Darkness and when he does his memory thing, his brain will be fried and he'll just be a shell at this point, not to mention that the Darkness, not Jackie, is a timeless entity that death doesn't apply to and it's now sitting inside a practically brain dead Alex Mercer. And if it wanted Jackie back, which I doubt it would, it would simply make its way out of Mercer and slowly rebuild Jackie's body.

Alex is a determined guy though, so I wonder how that would factor in.

I didn't play much of the darkness, but Alex is functionally immortal if one single cell is left. Plus the whipfist, he can take you out. From china.

But like I said, he still needs that single cell, while the Black Hole leaves nothing left in this dimension.

Not having played either game, is the Darkness' "black hole" ability actually of sufficient strength to drag Mercer into it? Bear in mind his strength compares favorably with lesser incarnations of the Hulk.

yes, this all demands on the strength of this ability. Not to mention that Alex can fight from a block away and can rip people in half.
