That was already discussed and shot down, because it would slow down TRS even further.
But I agree that we need a better mechanism for that. A TRS Wick Action/Cleanup thread and/or a Sandbox page, just like we do for namespace migrations. I'd open a thread to discuss such a policy if it weren't for the fact that I am not good at writing OPs.

I had tried to correct one of the wicks and it seems the change was reverted, that's why I was asking.

Well, at this point I don't want to ever start another TRS thread ever again as long as I live, let alone volunteer to help on a stalled one, because that instantly means the entire burden of every single wick and cleanup step is on my shoulders, so everybody else can wash their hands of it and run away. No thanks. I still have over 1500 wicks to clean up from Oldest Ones in the Book and friends.
Which, of course, means that any problem I notice will not get solved.
This is why the number of threads in here should be a lot lower than 500. People shouldn't get to start new threads when there are 400 ignored and waiting for help.
