This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

One who only has a Master of Engineering and no Doctor Title.
"You can reply to this Message!"It would be funny to have Ock hit in the jimmies and honestly he's probably pissing off the various Peters that at least one of them has to be tempted
But he's not so far from the point where he completely fails at everything and hands things willingly back to Peter.
A nut kick on top of that would be excessive and plus those are Peter's nuts. Otto is just borrowing them.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI was just thinking of how someone mentioned they wanted Otto to get his own Spider-body. I said that I only wanted Otto to get his own body if Peter got to beat the shit out of him.
My various fanfics.I really like Otto, myself. He's easily my favorite of the "big three" Spider-rogues.
I still would like a Three Spiderteers teamup of ASM Peter, SSM Otto and Scarlet Spider Kaine.
"You can reply to this Message!"Same, although I'm probably in the minority of placing the Green Goblin at the bottom of the Big Three. Heck, generally speaking, I even like the Hobgoblins better than the Green Goblins.
I think Norman dropped a bit in my book when "seducing women half his age" was added to his evil portfolio. I cannot at all explain why this of all his dirty deeds causes him to give me the willies as a character.
Because a middle-aged man having sex with a teenage girl isn't villainous, it's skeevy and pathetic. Anyone who has sex with their child's friend is gross. A midlife crisis is not something that's intimidating.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Otto also has the appeal of being one of the few "LOOK AT HOW SILVER AGE I AM!" villains that still works.
I think so, anyway.
If Venom keeps Agent Venoming it up, who is going to replace our favorite space oil slick as one of Spider-Man's biggest villains?
I sort of doubt he will though, eventually a writer is going to put him back with Eddie Brock because that's how things are supposed to be or something.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersActually, Venom hasn't been with Eddie in over a decade, IIRC.
2015 will be the year of Walrus Man, mark my words.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatYeah but time is no object if someone really really wants to put things back to how they were.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'm not actually sure. Like with Emma Frost's Heel–Face Turn, you'd think the inevitable Snap Back would've happened by now.

I don't know, Marvel has wanted a heroic/anti-heroic version of Venom for about as long as I've been alive and Flash is the only one that's really worked. The memory wipe that went with OMD also cuts quite a bit of the threat of Venom.
I reckon the Eddie Brock Toxin will replace the older Venom. It's Marvel having their cake and eating it too. I mean, it will piss of Toxin's fans (all seven of them).
although he's cool with venom now and is out of symbiotes to kill. except carnage i guess.
He can go back to killing/being in love with Spider-Man.
There's still other symbiotes slithering around, they've just been forgotten about.
Speaking of Carnage, the Venom page has gotten too big, so he got his own.
My hunch is Eddie will become Venom again when/if the Venom movie premieres, although by now they arguably could make Flash the movie symbiote's host without too much trouble or negative backlash.
Edge of Spider-Verse #3
Aaron Aikman Spider-Man is kind of interesting. I like the character bios they did of Red Eye and Naamurah.
The more armor-based Spider-Man getup is pretty cool and although we don't get much, him working in a lab reminded me of the Horizon stuff.
But considering it ended with Morlun staring down Aaron and "The End" instead of "Will return in..." yeah Aaron is super dead. And depressingly, it seems his setting is inevitably going to get cyberzombie apocalypsed. The creatures possessing the cyberzombies hints that there's more to whatever Morlun's deal is then just his family and the master weaver stuff.
Ah well.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI liked the callback to the old Marvel Universe trading cards. I had a bunch of those.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Unless someone plans to (temporarily?) kill off Flash for good, I think he's going to stay Venom for the foreseeable future, given the in-universe indication that he will die if separated from the suit.
Edit, edit, edit, edit the wikiWhich would be damn unfortunate because Agent Venom has been the most interesting take on the symbiote since probably the early days of the character, in my (kinda biased) opinion.
