I fail to see why people think it's creepy anyways. -shrug-

I had this game on PC and never heard the soundtrack before today.

I never saw anything creepy about it.

I think Tails Doll is a bit of in-joke in some ways, but I would like to play as it if I ever play Sonic R.

I never found the Tails Doll creepy, just kinda weird. I never understood why they made Tails' doppelganger a doll, when Sonic and Knuckles got robots. Or why Amy didn't get anything for that matter.

CTM, that would be because Tails isn't seen as badass enough to get a robot version of himself, and Amy is a girl and would be ignored by Eggman unless he is using her for a Hostage for MacGuffin exchange

Uncanny Valley is when something looks extremely realistic, but is just off by enough to creep you out.

As I said before, it doesn't particularly do that for me, either.

Maybe if it was grinning.

Uncanny Valley includes everything within the valley, not just what approaches the realistic. Animal mascot costumes, for example, have dead looks on their faces a lot of times, which is the same thing that the Tails doll has, here.

Yes he does. He's closer to the bunraku puppet, but he's there, nonetheless.

If Tails Doll is in the uncanny valley, it has more to do with how he seems to move than his appearance

I don't find him creepy WHATSOEVER. This meme has no reason to exist. But then again, I think the characters from Heavy Rain look fine.

Tails Doll is in the uncanny valley because he's basically a defective imitation of Tails with a totally abnormal way of moving and the total lack of a voice.
