So, if I don't have internet, I just wasted my money?
Nice one, EA.
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOI...Wasn't Epic Games the company publishing this? Apparently not.
Also, Tiberian Twilight sucked and the upcoming C&C game can't possibly redeem the series as it stands. There, I got that out of my system.
EA, you just never learn, huh?

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelDoesn't matter if C&C4 sucked. The DRM didn't work and harmed legit customers.
And pirates have cracked this DRM a long time ago, too (as seen with Assassins Creed PC.
Jonah FalconEpic Games developed Bulletstorm. EA is their publisher.
Jonah FalconThat's actually part of why C&C4 sucked. There's a lot of things wrong with C&C4.
^Thanks for clarifying, and that is perhaps the most unlikely publishing deal I could think of.

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelThis is a bit of a disappointment.
Oh well. Back to playing/editing Sauerbraten then!
Most people eat sauerbraten.
Jonah FalconAnyways, I'm more excited for Renegade X: Black Dawn, whenever it comes out.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelSo, JAF, I hope you're planning on running a retraction.
From your own source:
Who stole the content from Jim Sterling at Destructoid:
http://www.destructoid.com/bulletstorm-pc-requires-persistent-internet-connection-192844.phtml
People Can Fly has denied this.
By the way, nice journalism guys. Not one person in this entire chain of events at Game Stooge, Ripten, or Destrcuctoid ever bothered to directly contact Electronic Arts or People Can Fly or Epic to get a confirmation. You all ran the story on its face without doing any actual journalism, and two of you just stole the content from Destructoid, who had to check someone's Twitter before running a correction.

I think the only word I have to say is "wow".
...Is it bad that I knew how the first posts would go before opening the thread?

I never how the first posts. That's bad manners.

UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOI...Okay, wow.
Yeah, see, if people want games to be taken seriously and not viewed as horrible influences, I think improving the quality of game journalism reporting and writing might be a good first step.
Huh, I give EA too little credit, then.
C&C4 still sucks, though.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI wouldn't know, I didn't play it. The reviews weren't too good and I wasn't really looking forward to the changes they were making, so I skipped it in favor of something else.
I updated. And please don't blame me. I clearly marked it as a rumor with a tag.
Jonah FalconWell, please don't scare us like that if you at all bloody could.
So, assuming I wanted to get Bulletstorm, what could I look forward to? /semi-off-topic
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific Mackerel@ JAF Okay, now I feel obsessive, but...
Google doesn't lie. There was no rumor tag one your original article on Game Stooge, and you did not present this as a rumor in your post here. You added a rumor tag after you ran the correction.
@ Rocketdude: I haven't had a chance to check out a demo on Bulletstorm yet, but the impression I'm getting from Neo GAF is that it plays a lot like Gears of War with points (and the points go to tricking out your character). The biggest thing is the game is more about creative ways to kill gobs of enemies than being a serious game. Unfortunately, there's no PC demo, which is rather annoying since I was hoping to get that one and play with the level editor. If you have PSN or Xbox Live, you can get the demo now.
Yeah, I wish there was a PC demo available.
... Why would you need to have an internet connection to install a game?
@Swish: Online authentication. Just one of the symptoms of the modern age.
Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, though.

Here we go, folks.
You'd think EA would have learned from Command And Conquer 4.
