EDIT: As I recall, this trope has been to the TRS before when there was significant debate over whether this was really a trope or not.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.^^This is in the right vein of things, but the exact trope is that when there is more than one Action Girl in a story, the tougher, more badass ones always die (In the case of the Trope Namer, it comes down to Vasquez and Ripley, and Ripley, of course, survives).
^I think the concept here can be troped. Any problems with the page would mostly have something to do with the name (especially one that includes a character name that likely fails the One Mario Limit—among other problems—and uses the word "always" when VERY few things on This Wiki should ever be described with that word).

She's more of a Sacrificial Lion than a Red Shirt, isn't she? Sacrifical Action Girl?

Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Image Pickin'.
Fight smart, not fair. The image was actually what helped me (very quickly) understand the trope name earlier (although if you aren't familiar with Aliens at all, it probably wouldn't make any difference).
Without the image of the Trope Namer, I'd say that the existing problems with the current name have been greatly accentuated.

Dislike the name, but I'll check the stats.
This title has brought 2,767 people to the wiki from non-search engine links since 20th FEB '09.
Holy Fuck. That's some serious inbound right thar.

Fight smart, not fair. That surprised me, too, the first time I looked at the number of inbounds.
Hm, I think we got linked on cracked or something for that page.
Fight smart, not fair.Yeah, with those kind of numbers (and it being linked on a high profile site), I would be very hesitant to support a rename unless there was some pretty bad misuse.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!I just wish that that character hadn't been named "Vasquez." It makes the trope sound like a non-African American racial version of Black Dude Dies First, not female.
I always thought it should be Michelle Rodriguez Syndrome. She always seems to get that role.
Australia The country with a 2 party system But all the power with independentsThis oh so much finding a movie she isnt the Bad Ass Action Girl that dies is near impossible.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!She survives in SWAT, thanks to a Bulletproof Vest.
Australia The country with a 2 party system But all the power with independentsI would agree that without the picture the name seems off, but I still like it.
If this was a unisex trope, I'd go for - Kill The Competent - but as for this I'd do -Tough chick dies first-
Would you like to know more?Except that it's not just "the tough chick" it's "the toughest chick" and it's not "dies first", just "dies at some point". I'd support Toughest Chick Always Dies with the original name as a redirect.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.
Crown Description:
Vasquez Always Dies
At the very least, this is going to need some redirects for anyone who can't figure out who the heck "Vasquez" is. (I was able to make the correct guess. Can you?)
I haven't checked for misuse yet, but outside referrals are pretty damn high.
