Alex Mercer vs. Hulk

Similarities includes Mad Scientist turned monster, learns to love, feared by society, and being hunted by the military.

Imagine what would it be if these two battle.

The outcome depends on Mercer's ability to eat the Hulk.

I think Alex would win personally.

Well, as I've said, the Hulk's power tends to vary depending on the writer and his anger, but we haven't really seen Alex's limits.

I'd rather see Alex Mercer vs The Darkness.

Also, this would probably be more appropriate in the Comic section...

Thats a scary point with Alex. For example, if he encountered a super powered individual and consumed them, shouldn't he obtain their powers? Thinks like that make him even worse than he already is.

Would he be able to consume the Hulk? From what I've gathered the Hulk pretty much has unlimited power and gets stronger the longer he stays the Hulk/gets angrier/etc.

Plus the Hulk has a Wolverine-esque Healing Factor; he once got flayed to the bone by one of his enemies, and regenerated the damage in its entirety a few seconds later.

Thats a point. I guess it will always depend on the writer.

But he's consistently a power house. Meaning Mercer probably wouldn't be able to fight him. As far as I know, Hulk could probably rumble all day if you let him, Mercer on the other hand might not have that kind of endurance.

You got me there. The only thing Mercer has then is potential. Who knows how powerful he can get?

That's why I think he'd make a more interesting adversary for The Darkness.

Also, Hulk should fight Doomsday.

It'd be fun to watch though.

1. My money would be on The Darkness, Mercer can't consume him (would you really wanna take a character who becomes an eldritch abomination by gaining power from darkness and engulf him in darkness), say that Alex does consume him (or atleast attempts to), the memory thing he does when he consumes someone would drive him insane if he had that happen when taking in Jackie. As of right now (atleast until Mercer hones his skills or get upgraded, etc.) The Darkness is basically Alex Mercer dailed up to 14.

2.The Hulk would have to win on account of the fact that he's a good guy compared to Doomsday.

Besides, if you got to see the Hulk and Doomsday fight, I doubt you'd care who won in the end after witnessing the greatest fist fight in history.

You'd think his fight with Bruce Lee would've been the greatest fight ever...it's kinda boring.

True, true. Bruce may be the best fighter in real life I have ever seen though. Back to Hulk vs Doomsday, I don't think that we would be safe even watching them.
