I've gotten quite a bit farther. Now I need either Yams or Yam Seeds.

Anyone got any?

So is there a way to get something else to place a building for me?

Okay, I'm playing Friends of Mineral Town and I just got a Chocolate Cake as a gift on Thanksgiving. Do I leave the wrapping on it or put it in my fridge or what?

I usually keep it until that day in Spring where you can send chocolate goods to your girl.

Who you marrying, Mallard?

[up][up]You eat it. It's a cake you got as a gift, what else are you going to do with it? Sell it?

I assumed I had to save it and give it to her at a Thanksgiving festival at like 6 or whatever. I just ended up eating it in an attempt to get to Floor 19 of the Lake Mine.

And Elli is my lady of choice. Every playthrough I have attempted, even those I barely got into before moving on, has had her as the subject of my character's affection. She's just so cuuuute ^-^

I wish I knew about home shopping sooner: this is the first playthrough ever that's gotten her to the Red heart level, I've got all the home expansions - but I need to buy most of the kitchen suite before I can get the big bed, and thus get married.

So, has anyone played Animal Parade?

I gave it a go, but there's a lot of lag in the wider areas, and I dislike the farming. The tutorial's really long as well.

[up]I did. Really fun to customize your farmer, too.

I also went for Phoebe, though Maya gets a close second.

So, I decided to get back into Harvest Moon after I took a almost year-long break with the series. At least I still have almost all of my harvest moon games!

I'm currently playing Animal Parade, and recently decided to use the flower method to make cash. I'm going with Hibuscuses so I can make tons of money in a month.

And Fall? Oh god. Getting a ton of bluebells and using the mixer to produce blue perfume is something I gotta try out.

So, I picked up a 3DS, and now I clearly need a Harvest Moon game for it. Looks like there's two 3DS HM games: A New Beginning and Tale of Two Towns (which was originally a regular-DS game, but I didn't play it for that, and it's got a 3DS port). Any suggestions over which I should grab?

3DS Tale of Two Towns is apparently kinda buggy.

[up]No, but there's always a new Harvest Moon. Seriously, it's getting a bit out of hand.

How's it getting out of hand? It's game series like Pokemon or Legend of Zelda.

Anyway, the translated title is Connect to a New Land and it's being released in Japan in February. The character designs have a Victorian style to them.

Yeah, by the time this comes out in Japan it will have been 2 years since the last game. It sounds like it has enough different about it to matter as well. It takes more advantage of the 3DS' features, for one.

So I got myself a hankerin' for some Harvest Moon goodness and I ended up throwing Tree of Tranquility in my Wii U. Which means I have to start a new game because my save file is back on my Wii, but meh, I probably would've started a new one anyway. Is it just me, or does Tree of Tranquility start out slower than other games in the franchise? It takes an entire day's worth of stamina just to chop down a tree! (Granted, you get a free recharge from the hot spring, but still.)

Strikes me as odd that there hasn't been a Wii U Harvest Moon yet. Been a ton of 3DS games, but nothing for the home console? Someone should get on that.

[up]A new 3ds HM just came out in Japan. So we'll probably get a release within the next year.

Apparently the handheld games tend to sell better, though I personally prefer console. I don't mind in this case though. I have a 3ds but am unlikely to get a Wii U anytime soon.

[up][up]HM games always start out incredibly slow. If energy isn't the limiting factor, it's money.

I like HM games, but I always dread having to actually start a HM game.

I have a New Beginning but I don't remember how far I got in the last time I restarted it.

Nope, no Yams
