[up]Okay, think of it like this: You are Cole. You have no foreknowledge like we do.

Now, you have two enemies:The Plague and The Beast.

There are two ways to win.

Option 1: The Ray Field Inhibitor. All Conduits die along with the Beast. We know that from the test run. It should cure the plague. However, we haven't actually proven it will. It's a huge gamble to risk killing all Conduits without knowing if the RFI will stop the Plague. What if it doesn't? Then both groups will die.

It's a massive risk.

Option 2: Going with John's plan.

John's plan is to essentially activate all Conduits since they are immune to the plague. This sounds great until you realize that the only way to do that is to destroy all humans. The death toll will be much higher and most of civilization will be in ruins.

However, his plan does have one thing going for it: It's been proven. We know it will work. We know for certain that it will stop the plague. Someone will survive.

In my opinion, I would rather go with John's plan simply because I'm not willing to gamble all of Earth's intelligent life on the RFI. It's a Sadistic Choice no matter what.

Yes that is what happens in the game. While I respect the fact that you'd prefer to go with John's plan, I don't. Even if it doesn't work, I rather take the risk to save all those lives.

If it fails, the humanity as we know is doomed. If it succeeds, more innocent lives can be spared.

Everyone else has pretty much said what I was going to, so I'm just gonna jump in with this:

If they made a sequel to the "evil" ending, it would be the best sequel ever. I mean think about that, a nation controlled by an old Cole who is going insane from the power of The Beast, and you taking up arms as either his usurper or Humanity's new savior, it'd be amazing! A regular old Age of Apocalypse.

Eh, if there's ever a sequel, I expect either some crazy mumbo jumbo to revive Good!Cole, or for the entire thing to take place in an alternate timeline.

That's what's so sad about the whole thing, it'll never happen. They'll always follow up on the "Good" endings. Although they wrapped up the good ending pretty tightly.

Following kessler's timeline would be pretty interesting. Maybe Kessler's muking about made it possible for him to actually stop the beast without killing every conduit.

They should make a sequel about Zeke. He somehow gets powers because someone does something and Zeke gets powers and is all "Yeah, I'm Zeke and I got powers."

A sequel would be nice, but if you want more Infamous there is plenty of UGC out there. Look up a guy named jedicam10.

He has some great stuff. For example, try the Conduit Community series. Great story and great game design.

Eh it's not the same. I want a new city, a new story, new powers, not just new missions.

Actually all i really want is confirmation Sucker Punch is doing something. They're very close to becoming my favorite developer.

[up][up]I was thinking more like Zeke's Nephew trying to get revenge or something.

Conduit Community makes it feel fresh at least. He got creative with the editor so you can work with Conduit Teammates.

The best setting for Infamous 3 would either be Cole coming back and traveling back in time to find a way to save both humans and Conduits or we take over as Kessler.

Note that Cole mentions having a brother. And powers, or at least the potential for them, is genetic.

[up] Where was that said? I honestly don't remember anyone ever saying Cole had a brother.

In 1 he's talking to either Moya or john and they ask him if he has any family. The only one he mentions is his little brother, but he doesn't mention how young he is.

Well, assuming his brother had the conduit gene, wouldn't he be dead too?

He indeed would.

If they ever do make a third game, they have this problem to get over: Conduits radiate ray field energy. Ray field energy kills humans. The two cannot exist together.

Basically, ray field energy makes everything stronger. Only those with the Conduit gene can live through it's exposure. So while the plague got stronger, so did the Conduits. Therefore they didn't get sick.

Humans are not so lucky. The ray field radiation mutates the plague and makes it too strong for the humans to resist.

So, either the humans can live or the conduits can live. Their biology is incompatable.

They'll probably have to pick and ending and go with it. Or make two games.

They already declared good ending canon. They did leave an Or Is It at the end, but once again: they can't bring Conduits back without killing the humans.

I'd rather they just leave the series alone and concentrate on something else for a while. I think the series ended on a good note as it is.

I'm all for a spiritual successor. The story was wrapped up, but the game was too damn fun to let pass.

I liked Sly Cooper, I liked Infamous. With the main story of the Infamous games completed, I'd rather see where Sucker Punch can go next them have them milk the franchise more. Or is their next thing Sly 4?

Text I feel is necessary to append to every post.

Sly 4's being made by Sanzaru.

Oh, that can't be good. Most of the big PS franchises that switched developers (Crash, Jak, Spyro) went downhill post-switch.

Back on topic: Yeah, some sort of sequel would be nice. Maybe do a prequel where you're Kessler, trying to get to the past to put Cole on his path?

Well not to derail the thread but when those series were given to new teams they were given to shit developers who would've normally been put on movie tie in games and given little to no time to actually make something worth while. Sanzaru is fairly well staffed and more importantly has come and said what big fans of the original Sly games they were, making this more a Passion project for them. on top of this they did the HD release of the games so they know how the groundwork and guts function. Plus everything they've shown off so far looks great, better then Sly 3 at least.

Also, if you're using Kessler wouldn't it technically be a sequel?
