Man,this will take the title of the best superhero game ever. From what I've seen,it looks like a different game from when we first saw Infamous. Magnetic levitation, electric tornadoes, ice powers, destruction, different enemies,it will be truly awesome.

I can fight mutant swamp monsters with a giant cattle-prod in an AU of Louisiana. This is all I needed to know.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial

You can create your own scenarios.

I went into labour when I heard that bit of news.

So, we have a further splintering of powers based on morality, but allowing us to retain all electricity powers as the norm, further adding ice powers for good people, or fire for bad people. So, does that make this a straight example of Fire, Ice, Lightning? Or since he can only access two at a time, is it subverted?

Also, how long til rule 34 has them in a threesome?

The game itself seems to be following through with what Sucker Punch wsaid about being as good as Uncharted 2, but the morality is continuing to create more problems than it solves. Its again just serving to require two playthroughs.

It pointlesly rations the powers, meaning I can't get all of them at once. T Hat might be a game breaker but fuck it, I wanna use my fire ice lightning powers to form some kind of gigantic golem I can ride around on top of.

Nothing, it's just that most non-RPG games tend to have, as Yahztee put it, a choice to either "sing the orphans to sleep and murdering their dogs". inFamous really only has the two extremes, sadly. You can either be a Hero and a symbol of hope to everyone everywhere or a Ruthless, cold-hearted bastard that everyone despises and wants to kill. There's no middle ground.

Actually, there can be middle ground in Infamous 2. They said that no matter what choice you make except choosing your powers,it can be redeemed.

Which means you can have What The Hell,Hero? moments and still find your way back to good.

So technically you can choose your alignment in a sense.

The term wasn't non RPG. In fact, I can only think of one game, ever that actually had consistently good choices - GTA IV.

Wouldn't that just make every decision before that a complete waste of time?

It means you can get the evil powers but also the good ending (or vice versa). Does seem kind of silly.

Or you can make it seem as if you've been a great guy but then turn around at the very end and smack everyone in the balls rather than just being straight out Chaotic Evil.

NO! Good topic, must revive...

Did you hear about the mission creator? I heard you can do something akin to adding your own story to it.

Problem is this will be missions that completely lack speech, which makes things feel kinda hollow. I remember back in the Ps2 games, people on message boards would design missions for each other in GTA Vice City and San Andreas. This seems like a sim ilar situation, except you can actually set the scenario and objective.

Still, I hope you can import the gangs from the first one. I want to see a group of Dustmen take on one of those lobster things. Make bets on who would win.
