There's a new Dream Theater album which automatically has me wetting my pants in excitement, a new Periphery EP and possibly in the later year a double full-length (!), Tesseract's debut full-length One (which is gonna slay), the Monuments and Entrosolet debuts, Sectioned EP, Between The Buried And Me EP, new Devin Townsend albums... a lot of great stuff this year!

I was excited for the new Winds Of Plague album until I heard the lead single, does that count?
But still, new albums from Devin Townsend (2!), Amon Amarth, Blackguard, Symfonia, Scar Symmetry, Norther, Periphery (as mentioned), Pain (!), Wolf, and Hammer Fall. This is a good year for metal (as always).

I'm also holding out for a Porcupine Tree album this year or at least something involving Steven Wilson, maybe that collaboration he's doing with Mikael Akerfeldt. And of course a new Dream Theater release, I'm excited to see what they'll come up with now that Portnoy is no longer dominating the show.
