There's three I'm looking forward to: Anthrax's new album, Hot Sauce Commite Pt. 2 by the Beastie Boys, and whatever the Red Hot Chili Peppers are doing. But that's just me.

Edit: I can't believe I forgot Gridlink's Orphan. I'm super pumped for that.

  • A Hawk And A Hacksaw - Cervantine
  • Mogwai – Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will
  • A prospective new Fleet Foxes album (confirmed)
  • A new album from The Shins (confirmed)
  • Hopefully a new Explosions In The Sky album, but I've been wanting that for 4 years now.
  • A new album from Battles (rumoured)
  • Likewise from Bon Iver (rumoured)

Has to be said though, half the pleasure of being a music fan is discovering albums you weren't already excited for.

Shit, I forgot Mogwai.

One album I was looking forward to, Cake's Showroom of Compassion, came out recently and it was a big disappointment.

The Decemberists have an album coming out fairly soon. Like, in five days soon. I'm excited.

A Hawk and a Hacksaw have a new one?

Anyway, Danielson's new disc drops this February, and the pre-release hype on the blog makes it sound like it could be a New Sound Album.

Madness are probably going to have the follow up to The Liberty of Norton Folgate out, but nobody here knows about Madness. grin

I know about Madness! How could I not? I'm British! They're an institution! Their new stuff has been pretty shite, as a rule, though.

I wouldn't say so. Norton Folgate was great fun.

I'm hoping that the Specials will make an album this year, but without Jerry Dammers it doesn't seem very likely.

New Protest the Hero and A Skylit Drive albums hit this year. I think that the new Human Abstract album is also dropping sometime this year.
