My first was Crystal Shards, so that'll always be a favorite of mine, but other than that I've long been a fan of Amazing Mirror.

I do find it odd though that UFO wasn't in Superstar despite being the only power with multiple abilities ever since Adventure (Ignoring helpers). You'd've thought something which already had multiple abilities would've been perfect for a game where every power has multiple. Or maybe... that would make it not as special?

.

...Did anybody ever use the Copy power in Superstar? It always seemed like such a waste to me if you didn't have somebody playing there with you to take full advantage of it as second player. Plasma has similar issues, although is at least usable.

If I remember correctly Superstar's Beam was essentially UFO, except you couldn't fly.

But in any case, I guess UFO was kind of a game breaker - Adventure had to very specifically construct levels so that they gave you even a little challenge with it, and even then they'd take it from you once you left the room.

UFO can't climb down ladders. I don't remember, but it may also be able to burn things.

More practically speaking, UFO is like a mix between helper-Plasma and Beam... who can't climb down ladders.

Plasma not useable? Plasma just replaced tornado and UFO as the game breaker powers, until Super Star Ultra Nerfed it anyway. It was still very powerful, just inferior to hammer that time.

Super Star is tied With Adventure for my favorite Kirby game. Squeak squad would have ranked higher to me if it had more levels or something, it was kind of weak after Amazing mirror, which seemed longer to me.

Copy in Superstar had a few uses.

In Milky Way Wishes, you could use it to get copy powers before you actually own them. And in any game, you can use it to obtain Crash from the Scarfys.

Scarfy's give Crash? Awesome.

Anyone else miss the Kirby's Adventure Crash animation?

On a slightly different note, did Ghost from Squeak Squad have any functionality besides overshadowing enemies?

It gave you a new miniboss to fight(who sadly did not appear in boss rush).

Ok, this is news to me. How do you access this new miniboss?

Get all pieces of the ghost medal. A ghost will randomly replace a miniboss and you fight it instead. (Which is how you get the ghost ability)

I kinda like Copy. You can do some fun stuff with it.

And while Plasma's good, I've never found it that good. It gets your fingers tired fast.

You like Copy? What can you do as Copy which you can't do as Kirby? (Not talking TAC here; I know how that thing's shield turns him immobile and intangible.)

Even if you can't do it anywhere near as fast as Tac, as Copy Kirby you can still dish out a lot of damage in a short amount of time to anything that doesn't have a power - like, say, bosses.

[up] x4 Well, seeing as I have the ability and the ghost medal completed, I guess that I already beat that miniboss and just didn't know it. Huh.

I think the ghost ability can also be gotten in the bonus level in the middle of the map, after having completed the medal of course. (Therefore beating a ghost miniboss is not actually required)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what I did. I don't recall having to face a miniboss.

Also, I like Copy's ability to pull powers off things you wouldn't think about being powered, like aforementioned Scarfy.

I've seen some gameplay videos of Kirby Returns To Dreamland on YouTube, and I'm quite happy that Beam and Cutter are getting back some of their attacks from Super Star.

On another note, I hope Dedede and Meta Knight get their Brawl voice actors.

That's assuming they're not The Voiceless. I doubt it, though. They could always use the voices from 64/the anime/Brawl: Makiko Ohmoto as Kirby, Atsushi Kisaichi as Meta Knight, and Masashiro Sakurai as Dedede.

I just can't wait for co-op, m'self. I'll probably be second player a lot just for the fun of being Waddle Dee. I do loves me a Waddle Dee!

He should have an alternate Super Mode that turns him into Bandana Dee.

[up][up][up] Sakurai didn't voice Dedede in Kirby Of The Stars, someone else did.

On the subject of Bandana Dee, I think the Kirby series has found a fourth rep in Super Smash Bros.

It's a combination of the various seiyuu involved. Kirby (both versions) and Meta Knight (in Japanese) kept their VAs from the anime, but Dedede was voiced by Sakurai in Brawl instead of Kenichi Ogata (who voices him in Stars). I don't see why Sakurai wouldn't reprise Dedede again.

I doubt it. As much of a Memetic Badass Bandana Dee is, he's still a Waddle Dee (without a parasol even). In actuality, he'd do absolutely nothing in battle.

He has a spear. Which he can twirl to go up in the air. Though that'd be only two moves though.

Ok... he kinda needs more than that, though. Alternatively, that is enough to work for Bandana Dee as an Assist Trophy.
