Someone fucked up with Prommy, Deej took to Twitter to announce they're working on a fix.

Basically, what they did is the biggest simple fuckup since Bethesda missing a decimal separator in Macready's loyalty perk effect in Fallout 4. Also, rumor has it that the Tuesday patch will enable a couple of functionalities in COO, mostly Infinite Forest-related.

Thinking about it, I imagine it would be difficult to have a functioning procedurally-generated patrol zone with the way players move from area to area, each area being an instance unto itself. If that's the case, it's disappointing but understandable.

OK, I tried to do a Heroic version of one of Mercury adventures. This time, it was set in the Simulated Present, unlike the Simulated Future of the normal version, and it not only kicked my ass, but glitched out to twist the knife. Wow. Just wow.

Also, Bungie did the reasonable thing, and gave the bugged Prometheus Lens rifle to Xur. Right on the day when Trials of the Nine start.

They did that on purpose so that at least every one would have a fair fight.

Luke smight even tweeted this gif◊ and said that it is trials is this week.

Honestly, if they weren't going to cancle, this is the best thing they could have done.

The Crucible is now made of pure lulz as players catch wind of Xûr's stocks and buy their Promethean Lens. I've never had so much fun in my Crucible life.

Gotta admit, I was already feeling like I might have jumped the gun getting the season pass right after the base game, but if the PVP is going to be nothing but 'turn a corner and die immediately', then I definitely feel like I got screwed.

Don't worry, it's a bug and Bungie knows all about it. It's why they made sure Xur would sell it actually.

It's getting fixed during next Tuesday's patch. This weekend is just a bit of fun.

Bought a Prommy, did a couple of pubs, got a yellow engram... PROMMY.

Cue Facepalm.

IIRC there were people saying this was actually a test by Bungie about what people would think of making the Crucible faster-paced. Conspiracy theories aside, it really felt more dynamic with both sides fairly balanced. In my last match, most players in both teams had Promethean Lens and it was quite fun.

I don't mind faster-paced per se, what I mind is headshot-capable hitscan lasers that people just run around holding R2 with.

Hitscan lasers with massive magazines and AOE that grows as long as you hold the trigger down.

It's gotta be fun with that Titan chestpiece that reloads your weapon every couple of seconds. Whether you kill anyone or not, that sphere of destruction grows, until you run out of ammo.

Actium War Rig only reloads autorifles. I believe trace rifles are a separate category (though autorifles can be infused into them).

You are correct, much to my dismay, it is pointless with cold heart.

War Rig is pretty boss with Sweet Business though, if you like unloading all your kinetic ammo in fifteen seconds.

On the plus side, it is the closest thing your getting to an HMG in this game.

I don't miss those as much as I thought I would, actually.

I, however, do miss those, especially with how underwhelming the grenade lawnchairs have been.

anyway, I'm glad heroic strikes are back! my dorm Wi-Fi sucks so it took me forever to get my setup into anything resembling a working state but I've enjoyed the ones I've played thus far! using the Riskrunner on the Fallen strike on Nessus brings back sweet, sweet memories of burning through one heroic strike after another with the Zhalo in Year 2 of D1

I'm finding the same problem with Heroic Strikes as I did with raids in other MMOs like FFXIV. I understand that people are used to these strikes already and know all the shortcuts and stuff, but it's still pretty shitty when people run ahead and leave you behind to get murdered over and over by a wall of Cabal you were supposed to kill together.

It's kind of making me leery of trying to PUG the Nightfall or anything more complicated. I know that they're not really designed for PUGging, but I still want to give them a shot without being shouted at or abandoned.

What platform are you on? You're welcome to come with us.

You really cant do that in most Nightfalls since there is a harsh timelimit involved, you wanna stay together and keep a fast pace.

I'm on PS 4. I'd really like to join something a bit more organized (though I need to find a PS 4 mic) - I'm at 305 power and won't be getting much higher unless I can start doing Nightfalls and raids, but I don't want to get yelled at or waste people's time.

Dont worry they let me join them, and im like the worst Destiny player ever.

We're not super duper active to be entirely honest but we're all super chill and relaxed.

Sure! That would be pretty cool.

I'm living in Japan so my time zone is going to miss anything scheduled nine times out of ten, but it'll be nice to have a place to discuss stuff and ask around if anyone feels like doing things.
