Any fans here? I don't think there is any other touring alt punk bands that are as LOUD as them.

My bbig brother opened for them (as a DJ) in Helsinki. He said that he didn't get the band, and think it's just popular due to blog hype.

My wife's real into them... I like the beats, but for the most part they're not for me. It's nice, though, to hear my wife listening to something less mainstream on her own now.

Not much of an opinion on them  *

, the blogosphere does indeed seem to love them though.

There's also this.

I've heard this song a bunch of times on satellite radio. It's mixed a little too loud for my tastes though.

Sleigh Bells played my school with someone else. I'd actually heard of them, but I don't go to shows in our little coffeehouse because it would be way too loud. Also, the shows are late, and that's not how my schedule works.

Our so-called "Punk Rock & Roll Club" (probably its original name from decades ago and it just stuck) brings a very interesting variety of bands here. They got the Protomen last year...that I almost kind of regret not going to a bit.

I like it. Particularly because they let up on the loudness-warring just enough to let some more subtle stuff in while still sounding like, well, Sleigh Bells. Also, "Demons" probably has their best Epic Riff.

I thought I'd bump this thread back up. I've been a fan of Sleigh Bells since Treats, but I was wondering if anyone found the band through the use of 'Demons' as Left the Background Music On in the last episode of Jessica Jones? It was the absolute perfect song for the moment, especially the line "You pull the hood back, I wanna know, which way will the heavenly go". So very apt for Jessica Jones, I was so happy to hear the band somewhere I knew would get them attention.
