Scarification tattoos: hot or not?

Scarification is intentionally scaring yourself for cosmetic effect and has been common with traditional tribes across the world since prehistory. Recently it has gain popularity with today's youth in body modification circles as it shows a lot more dedication and commitment then a normal tattoo. What your opinion of them? Do you find them cool and edgy or just plain gross?

in a few African cultures, scarification marks you out as being one of your tribe when you are a three year old child undergoing the ritual, and makes you a man when you choose to mutilate yourself again. knowing that it is culturally significant, what do you think about this kid of thing happening to three and four year old children?

I sometimes consider scars attractive, but all the complicated designs presented here look to me like they'd work better as ink tattoos.

Though I can certainly see its appeal (NSFS and I've had fantasies/ fetishes about sex slaves being branded), I don't think i'd find this hot.

Wow that's kind of cool looking. I myself wouldn't get it done, but I don't mind people who do get it done. It's your choice after all. The images of the work in progress are a bit disturbing but the finished product was pretty. I must say I like the look of some of this more than I do ink tattoos.
