Oh yeah. The villainous oh crap moment.
Was it necessary for Hwa to do that in person? Probably not, but she couldn't have given them a one fingered saluted any clearer.
Because Baam is back and, like I said, stronger than ever.
Another awesome chapter.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Think back to the wonderful Karaoke bar scene and the poor sap who tried it on with her: Hwa is, in a number of ways, a bit of a troll. Pass up the chance to make Reflejo sweat? I think not. Plus, by doing this, she's probably nudging his actions in the direction she wants him to go in to facilitate Baam's path.
Also, talk about throwing a whole monkey (not just a wrench) into Reflejo's plans/thought processes. No way he is going to be thinking vary well now.
The only issue is that this puts Viole so far ahead in the power scale when compared to his friends. I am unsure how they can provide any reasonable fighting back-up after this. (they can certainly still help him emotionally)
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie! That depends on whether the Thorn is just a power boost or something that will require skill and training to truly use at its fullest potential. I mean, this thing outright killed a Guardian, so I doubt that even Baam with his epic Shinsoo mastery is anywhere near the level to fully control it yet.
It's likely that, for now, it'll just help him get out of tight spots, like both times he got out of those Shinsoo canceling devices with both the incomplete and complete Thorn.

That depends: how much dummy info was Karaka (and, by extension, anybody he deals with) sold? Most of what we know comes from the highly informed Reflejo (who is probably Poken), after all.
And, who knows how much filtering it's undergone even before it got to him? Who decided it was the weapon used to kill the Guardian? How do we know they're right?
Mhm. My immediate thought was that it wasn't the weapon used to kill the Guardian- surely Enryuu would've taken it with him in that case- but a weapon the Guardian used against Enryuu, which is why it seemed dead when FUG found it.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."It almost certainly was the "spear" that Enryu used to kill the Guardian, seeing as it was found at its site of death and no one really had any incentive to lie about it. There may be other issues that pop up, but we'll just have to wait and see
My actual question is what/who made up the "bowl" part of the Thorn that can apparently use the actual thorn, since it's apparently a "demon" that can challenge a god. My theory is that it's the actual (or first?) Prince of Zahard who tried to rebel and "fell" all the way to the second floor and became a spirit Shinsoo thing.
Enryu makes over 9,000 Sinsoo spears at a time, so him leaving just one (that probably solidified and didn't disperse due to killing a Guardian, thus giving it a sense of death) isn't that strange.

The guy can use many spears. This could just be a random spare he created and didn't end up using, but dropped at the scene. Or part of the Guardian (like a rib or something that turned red, thanks to Enryu's special quirk of turning things made of shinsoo red upon its death and being no longer under conscious control).
Or any other scenario. <shrugs> There is no guarantee it killed the Guardian. Especially not alone: Enryu will still have had to use it, using whatever skills he has on it, in turn. He might have turned himself into a weapon to use this thing... but, where is he to go along with the weapon? The Lobster? After all, if you're going to use a weapon as it was meant to be used... then that would mean it'd have to be something like what they think they're doing with Baam, right? So, where's the other half of the equation?
If he were dead, but leaving the weapon "alive-ish", why would Headon be seeking Enryu?

Herald of the Literature Sub-Forum. Share me your favourite book/series/author!thats an adorable looking thorn.
Secret SignatureIt is very... erm... cute? isn't it? All wrapped up and snuggly, like a maggot in a straitjacket.
dunno why i find that cute.looks like the Sims crystal xP
Secret SignatureSo the Thorn is going to lie dormant for now.
I also enjoyed seeing the Oh, Crap! moment pass down the chain of command.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Hmmm... Delayed-action Mass "Oh, Crap!" is the best.
Mhm. Reflejo's good and screwed now, no matter how things go in the game. Since he and Karaka are probably going to take the fall for this.
The problem, I think, is Beta. He's motivated purely by spite, is way and away the strongest person in the arena, and Wangnan's gonna need to keep him busy for five minutes without any help.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Beta: I just want to shove him at David Hume. <_< He's a guy who could really benefit from learning about Is-Ought as well as the differences between causation and correlation.
Hume's a great place to start.

So, uh, the latest chapter is out. Fuck you, Beta.
Also, poor Leflezo is going to spend the Christmas alone.
Oh noes, Wangnan! It seems that the comments (the one in the Naver page) are speculating that we will finally see what all these hints about him being a prince and it will help him survive, or something.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It's unlikely that Wangnan will actually die since we haven't even delved into his backstory yet. But still, fuck you Beta.

Still, the mummified maggot is useful. Even if Baam hasn't got a clue what he's doing with it, yet...
Welp, looks like I was exactly right about who the real problem is.
The only ways I see out of this are either some new craziness from Wangnan, or an assist from someone from team Leesoo. After all, Vespa racked up a lot of points in the last round, and the only thing they seem to have done with them is summon Laurie. Who's been MIA the entire battle.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Akraptor was playing Snuggled-Up Doomsday Device Sitter last time I looked. I don't envy him having to backpack Laure around. <_< From the looks of it, they're staking out the remainder of the Snake Team. I think. They certainly weren't guarding Wangnan.

The Company's translation is out.
Looking forward to whatever will happen to the Prince.
I want Hwa Ryun for Christmas, by the way. Hint hint.
Another translated chapter out.
Team Viole is rocking the house.
The Company's translation is out.
Now that's bouncing back. Go get 'em, Baam!
In other news Hwa Ryun is still an awesome gal.
