I can't believe they even made a "big" pun.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I can't believe Mario is fucking dead.
Ah sh't... I can't troll people about Ridley being too big anymore...
Guess I'll have to resort to physically breaking other people's Switches and blaming it on Ridley.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I can't believe they actually did it. Those absolute maniacs.
Ridley looks kinda like he's a zombie now, doesn't he?
Well he's died enough times
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHe looks like he's shedding his skin. Maybe that's his look from Metroid Prime 4?
Also, riddle me this: is Ridley more of a dragon, or more of a pterodactyl? I'm on #TeamPterodactyl. Look at his head. Dragon heads aren't shaped like that!
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?He's a space pirate dragon so anything goes, really.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?More of a dragon, because pterodactyls only had four limbs but dragons can have however the fuck many limbs they want thanks to being ficticious.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah but dragons are big and beefy whereas Ridley is a beanpole. Consider that.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Not universally. A dragon is a rather adaptable concept.
By the way Riddles is looking sick. I fell out of Smash for a while but I definitely want to buy this new one.

On a sidenote: So I have a theory that Samus is some form of Bad Luck Charm, possibly death incarnate. Her enemies die for...obvious reasons; but almost every ally she's ever had tends to wind up dead.
The Ridley reveal trailer only further helps me believe this theory.
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"They knew what they were getting into
They're no strangers to dragon hunting
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAs for the pterodactyl-dragon dichotomy: Remember the trope Dinosaurs Are Dragons. Or in this case pterodactyls. While the trope is not literally true, in practice dragons are basically dinosaurs or pterodactyls by nature. Give any archosaur fire breath and you've got a dragon.
Though in the specific case of Ridley, he's a dragon of sorts, but his design takes a lot of inspiration from xenomorphs.

"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"He's never been more Xenomorph then when he flat out murdered Mega Man and Mario.

He's a xenodactyl.
In fact, I propose that as the name of his species, unless he's a Space Pirate and not just a leader of Space Pirates.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Space pirate is presumably more of a job than a species.
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"I admit I haven't played much Metroid, but from what I've seen, "Space Pirate" always refers to those lanky knife-hand dudes.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?There's more species variety in the Space Pirate organization than the knife-hand dudes (Zebesians).
Even if we attribute the varying designs of the basic Pirates in the Prime games to just non-canon aesthetic changes, Ridley and some of the other big bosses are still formally members of the Space Pirate Federation and are clearly not Zebesians.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Huh. Wouldn't it be interesting if those mantis guys were larval space pterodactyls? Like if they live long enough, they go into a chrysalis phase and then come out as dragons like Ridley, and that's one of the reason he's so keen to send them to their deaths?
We've already seen Ridley's life cycle, though. Furby on stilts -> El Pollo Loco -> Roidley.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! So, a few days ago, the 1.4 fan patch for AM2R got released.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...what does it change ? I'm curious. Does it mean more cool stuff, or just Qo L/bugfixes ?
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Tons of cool stuff. I've put some of the edits on the What Could Have Been entry in the fan game's Trivia page.
- Fusion Mode after you've cleared Hard Mode
- The Stinger (Yeah, THAT stinger)
- New log entries, and you get those in a manner similar to how you scan stuff in Metroid Prime
- Hard Mode Genetics Laboratory now has double the Metroids, and it gets worse in Fusion Mode
- New enemies and creatures
- Random Game Plus is now completely random, but not unfair
- Configurations got some new cool things in the form of an Extra Options screen
- HD soundtrack which you can get while patching the game
You might want to check the AM2R Reddit for the full change log.

He's sporting a look I've never seen before. His face looks a little, er, decayed? Like, did a metroid bite his head?
