I don't have any dialogue in mind to contribute, so I'm just gonna link Bocaj's dialogue that pretty much sums up one of the oddest things in Super Metroid.

Shootable doors have to be one of the funnier quirks of the game.

One theory proposed is that the doors are essentially locked, and there is some kind of "open button" that Samus can't use, so she shoots the field keeping it closed to let herself through.

We now have a release date for Federation Force. It comes out the 19th of August.

Ah, found what I was looking for. Here's my contribution to our "dialogues".

Or maybe just a salad - her face is a tomato, the breastplate is lettuce, the pauldrons olives...

Metroid could always use more Body Horror, in my humble opinion.

That was a good try but it ended up being too colorful.

I sure said that!

When the two most significant influences on the franchise are Alien and The Thing, yes, you could always use more body horror. The SA-X's transformation from Samus into the hybrid Samus/Hornoad would have been incredibly awesome had it been done in a 3-D game instead of a simple sprite based one.

Prime 3 had some good body horror.

... To be honest, to me it looks like she's deciding if that cake is worth all the credits the shop is charging for it. Samus has somewhat stern facial expressions but really isn't someone I'd call tremendously stern herself.

I'd say she is on the job.

And then she punches the clock (that poor clock) and goes and leads a seedy bar in the bawdiest shanty she knows. Which considering how much she travels? Is probably a crime against common decency.

Samus has done a lot of stuff in the various games, but what thing, in-universe, do you think is regarded as her greatest accomplishment?

My bet would be Metroid 1. Taking out the Pirate base on Zebes.

Saving the universe from sentient, radioactive, mutagenic blue goo was probably tops, honestly.

It's an inability, not a refusal.

Blowing up a planet of sentient blue goo is probably her greatest feat, though.

Prime III was pretty incredible. And it's arguably the only time she for sure saved the galaxy.
