Currently trying to dig up the link to a digital copy. According to the internet (in general), the game has been for sale since 2004 from the Kinetic Novel website, www.kineticnovel.jp/ in digital format. These instructions are horribly out of date so could anyone help in pointing me in the right direction here?

Guys, I have a favor to ask of you.
I'm cosplaying as the Junker at a local convention this weekend, and as the individual cosplay contest rules state, I must provide a full-body picture of the character being cosplayed.
We all know that there's no official art of the Junker, and the one picture I have of him (a fan-made one) is just a mugshot. So can anyone provide a full-body pic of him?

A friend gave me a link to the aforementioned mugshot of the Junker. He looks like a soldier, wears a pair of goggles, and also has a raincoat draped on him.

Planetarian gets an official English release... for iOS.
Holy crap I'm gonna get this right away. Maybe some of Key's other stuff (and hopefully other visual novels in general) will be brought over too!
And I got it! However, I'm doing the Steins;Gate VN right now (although I'm almost done with it), and there's some anime I want to watch after I finish that, so I may not get around to Planetarian for a little while

I bought it, read it and finished it.
It's quite good. The ending balances despair and hope quite well. I am an optimist so perhaps the ending seemed happier to me.
Conceivably that guy could end up just carrying the memory card around for the rest of his life but considering how important it seems to him I very much doubt nothing will come of it. If anything he has a goal now.
I was quite impressed. It really took me there. I'm glad for the translation.

Well, I finished Steins Gate (Managed to get the True Ending too!), so now I'm gonna finished my watches of Azumanga Daioh and Panty And Stocking, which shouldn't take me more than a few days, and then I'll get onto Planetarian!

@Ultimately Subjective: Did you listen to the drama CDs? There's one that covers Junker's later life...it's the 3rd one, and has fan translation...
...still wish for official PC release though...

For the record it gets my "worth listening to" stamp. It may even be less tragic than Planetarian itself.
How strange to introduce a robot with a memory card slot and the idea of putting the memory card in the slot, only to not actually do it though.
I suppose if the point is that the stars are hope and there are people spreading the word about the stars it's actually pretty positive like that.

Holy shit this VN is depressing as fuck as you all know. Does anyone know if the spin-off novels and other related stuff has been released in English or translated? The universe needs to be expanded upon. Especially the Junker's experience as a refugee. Or was he a child soldier? It wasn't shown exactly.
