I fail to see how "what Jacket is doing is wrong" (which it is, obviously) means that asking the story for a reason why you are engaging in the violence you inflict is not a wrongheaded approach.

Today's episode: a discussion on paid mods. Also, Butts of Skyrim.
Finally watching South Sea Bubble episodes
Lol, its hilarious how the scheme keeps expanding ludicrously
You know what, guys? I think that Shaka was actually a bit of an asshole.
Well, he'd hardly be unusual in that respect.
Shaka wasn't only an asshole. He was also kinda insane from more than a few records.
That being said, we do have to be careful with the sources about him. They were mostly written by Europeans rather than local African people. So you have both enemy grudges and good ol Fashioned 19th century racism to deal with.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceLocal African people would have reasons to hate him as well, considering all the conquering he have done.
So are all the "main characters" in all Extra History since Japan.
I found that "great conqueror" is generally synonymous to "mass murderer" more often than not.
I mean, all to different degrees, of course. But Shaka so far seems to take the cake. I mean, I'm sure that African Tribal warfare was never about picking daisies, but Shaka basically broke any rules they had and made war a far more bloody affair than ever before for his people.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceI haven't played Rust yet, but this is really bold of them, and I respect them greatly for this decision.
This reminds me that I need to start Dark Souls 2.
I should probably buy the original later.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Also, the first two episodes of their Dark Souls playthrough went up, in case you missed it. 40 minutes in, and they've only just gotten the Estus flask, so I have to wonder how far they plan to get if they're only going to run this for 6 weeks. Because unless they cut stuff out or change how much they put up at a time, that only comes out to about 8 hours of gameplay.
That video helped me understand a bit why Priscilla makes for such a poor villain.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Last Episode (?) of Zulu Empire.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceI know the Fourth Crusade was the crazy one, but it seems the First is not far behind. What the hell were these people even doing!

I already have a good idea of what happens (a magazine I read recently dedicated an issue to the Crusades), but I'm always glad to hear it in more detail from Extra History. The Popular/Beggar Crusade, for example, is only briefly mentioned.
Also, they didn't say it in the video, but "Sans Avoirs" is not that guy's actual name. It's a denomination (much like "The Hermit"), and it means something like "owns nothing".
For the record, the episode described in the video is more like a 0th Crusade, not quite the "official" 1st Crusade yet. Still a pretty crazy thing, though.
Eh, semantics. I mean, I don't think the numbering is actually official. It is just numbers historians gave to organize things. And there isn't even an absolute consensus for all of them. The Peoples Crusade happened as a direct consequence of the call the Pope made for the First. It is part of the whole "event". Kinda like an ugly prologue.

Embedded videos are broken right now. It have been so for a while, but no fix yet.
I am going to be laughing at this for years. The First Crusade was a riot. Truly a killer.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I love how everyone in comment sections concurs what should be a new cards against humanity card
Okay, so somebody did not play Hotline Miami. It's clear since the very first minute that what you're doing is horribly wrong, that the whole situation is really fucked up and that you're a bastard for enjoying to hurt other people. It's a masterful deconstruction of video game violence and the Pinball Protagonist, and brushing it off as killing people for no reason without any meaning is simply idiotic.
