Yes, but they didn't take something that was real, and say it worked in a completely different way. I can accept "magic tree spirit" over "sound", because its entirely fantastic. Sound isn't. Sound is real. We know how that works. It isn't magic.
...wait, I think I have remembered this badly. Only the Seventh Fonon is sound. And it's not limited to mundane sound, which is why there are Fonic Hymns that use the other forms of Fonons. Fonons, as a whole, are the basic particles that make up things. They come in various forms.

A corpse should be left well enough alone...Sol stomps.
In our heart, Mr. Ando will always be a penguin. How powerful is Sol Badguy? I ask because I know Julius is pretty damn tough. I mean, anyone that can solo Dracula's castle and beat the shit out of him is pretty tough, but Julius did it and managed to make Dracula stay dead.
Sol Badguy defeated Justice. An incredibly powerful Bio-Weapon (known as Gears) that led other Gears into a century long war against humanity, and wiped out Japan. Sol killed her for good *

Time to leave them all behind...
I have no context for that, so I have absolutely no idea what you just said.
Though, I know Blaz Blue is the spiritual successor to Guilty Gear, and I could see Julius standing his own in that arena.

The point is; Sol managed to kill a country-buster without going all out.
Time to leave them all behindOK. Dracula was set to take over the world and destroy all of mankind when Julius ended him...
Yes, but did Julius hold back 90% of his power when he killed Drac?
Time to leave them all behindNo one knows how the battle went. They've been avoiding making that game.
Hell, Julius has amnesia afterward and Alucard won't talk about it.
The difference is, Dracula couldn't take over the world in one attack.
In our heart, Mr. Ando will always be a penguin.Which version of School Days!Makoto are you referring to? That's pretty important.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. It could be possible, as a virtual character that he could use the power in the real world like how a Digimon could.
Also, there's Avatar of Skieth that dante need to watch out for.
Watch SymphogearUtter stomp in Sol Badguy's favour. Even if this is youthful Julius. Julius is a massive cut above the common folk, don't get me wrong, but Gears are an entirely different level.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Frick Demongod Y U MAKE ME CHOOSE!!!

"All worlds begin in darkness and all so end. The heart is no different."-AnsemWhoever wins, we win one hell of a fight. Just need to keep the cameras in hard-to-destroy places.
I guess we could go... wherever we please.@Whoever asked: Let it be Anime!Makoto for increased lulz.
@Gilgamesh vs. Sora: Gilgy never stroke me as powerful. Resilent and tough, but not powerful. I would likely need further info, but I think Sora has this one in a bag.
grahIt seems as though you haven't faced him in FFXII or Type 0. Or even encountered him in FFVIII.
Actually, if he appeared in Kingdom Hearts, he could easily be portrayed as Sephiroth level in difficulty.
Really though, he varies from being the weakest and the strongest character in Final Fantasy. Heck, he was both in Dissidia. If he used all Excaliburs, then he was the most powerful. If he used all Excalipoors, then he was the weakest.

Gilgamesh is just as weapon-dependent as Sora is, but his weapons can still be knocked away from him. Sora's can reappear in his hands at will.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Gilgamesh summons swords, too. He just doesn't care which ones he summons. So you end up with things like three Masamunes and three chicken knives.

The question of whether or not the world is bound to the Score (that prophecy) is the central point of the whole game's conflict.
...was it that Fonons were everything, or that they were in everything?...
And it's not like a magic tree that exudes life energy is much more grounded in reality.
When you get around to it, Fonons and Mana are the same thing, narriatively speaking. A magic particle/energy that's in all things, allows the use of magic, and is central to the conflict. They're macguffin particles.
