For a while now I've wanted the Eye of Horus possibly on my back or neck, but it doesn't have any emotional meaning behind it. I just like what it represents. I know that I want to wait awhile and really think about it so that I don't make an impulse decision just because I'm now old enough to get it. I also understand that if it's visible, it's difficult to get into the workforce somewhat (ruling out putting it on my neck.)
byeThere doesn't have to be any emotional meaning or convoluted story involved to get a tattoos; some people just want something that looks cool. As for location, just get it somewhere that you can cover when you wear work clothes(depending on your occupation).
A bit of a symbolism overdose, I think.◊ Though I was in a Judaica store Wednesday and saw keychains with a similar design (and the Jewish connection was part of the inspiration). So the eye, at least, isn't actually overdoing it.
The child is father to the man —OedipusThe art from this, minus the background, would be a really cool tattoo◊
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsI always wanted a tattoo of the symbol of torment.
If I ever decide to get inked, I'd probably get this one. Somewhere easily concealed with work clothes. Inside of ankle, collarbone, between shoulder-blades, somewhere on my neck, right thigh to distract people from that scar on my left leg...
What about that backpiece we talked about?
Oh yeah I completely forgot about that I changed my mind.
But it would of kept me entertained when we're together.
But I don't have to pay attention to what you like or not.
Compromise
I had an idea for a back tattoo that came to me in a dream. First, it will have Surtur the Norse Fire Giant and the Hindu goddess Kali swordfighting. Then, in front of those two figures, it will have Zeus and Thor having an epic guitar duel, with Thor playing his guitar with his beard.
Then, it will have Jesus doing a keg-stand and Buddha dressed like a pimp.
No.
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsMy calf piece work in progress◊. Didn't catcha photo of it when it was done, but I'll get one in once it heals a bit.
It's a cursive tattoo with the part of the city I live in, Palosaari.

Kay, well, you know how people get wings on their backs? I was thinking of getting Egyptian-style wings(like this◊), but on my chest instead of the upper back. If I get the wings on my back, I'll get the flail and crook on my chest instead.
byeHmm. If I ever get married, I might get my wedding ring tattooed on. That'd be cool. I wouldn't have to worry about it being unhygienic or caught on anything, either.
Be not afraid...What if you get divorced? Line through it?
I might get blood type tattooed on but I'm not yet paranoid enough, and the other ideas I have, they'd need more specific circumstances. But, time will show.
@Kino: maybe she'd just chop the finger off. Preferably with some sort of crazy-size knife.

"Atheism is the religion whose followers are easiest to troll"People here just get a broken heart done .
I've got an endless knot on my right shoulder. Nothing fancy.
If I get divorced, I figure I'll have mental and emotional effects from the marriage anyway, so one little physical mark isn't going to be such a big deal.
Be not afraid...That's the right idea; just make sure you don't get his name tattooed.
