[up] It's awesome, but it also feels a bit half-assed, which ruins some of its enjoyment.

Brawl happens to feel a bit half-assed in the multiplayer department as well. (And the online in Brawl also feels a bit half-assed.)

Nope. I like Nintendo games, and I've experienced disappointments, but I'm not letting those disappointments put me down when I know that they tend to end up enjoyable experiences anyway.

Besides, going in one or other extreme can be quite dangerous.

This thread is now apparently about who is a true Nintendo fan.

Truth be told Nintendo doesn't disappoint me very often. Other M was disappointing relative to the hype, for sure. And there were a few very obscure games that weren't very good, but at the same time hardly pretended to be notable, like that tiltable Yoshi game whose name I forget.

I mostly just play Mario, Kirby, and Pokemon, so I don't really have much to worry about when it comes to being disappointed by Nintendo. Aside from how long it took for us to get a new Kirby console game, and maybe the fact that they never really made a good current-gen Pokemon game on a console aside from Pokemon Battle Revolution (which I unfortunately have to compare unfavorably to Pokemon Stadium 2, which I think got it perfectly, though Battle Revolution was still fun for a while, and gave us random online multiplayer matches, which the series had been needing ever since online play was introduced in it).

A fusion of PBR's random online matches and higher-end visuals (Part of the reason I got PBR was to send DS Pokemon and have them fight on the big screen rather than DS to DS) with Stadium 2's fun modes would be nice.

Gunpei (??? The creator of the Gameboy, Metroid, and Virtual Boy) died in a car accident after hitting an infamous member of the yakuza. There's always been rumors surrounding that, since Gunpei was about to be fired for his failure with the Virtual Boy.

Spooky stuff.

Actually, he was Kicked Upstairs and quit, and was developing for the Wonderswan when he died.

But otherwise, I think all this yakuza stuff is just rumor for the sake of rumor.

I'm actually still waiting for the Black/White version of Stadium.

But eh, that's for another thread.

Speaking of that, since they probably'll remake Stadium(course) again, think they'll go with Coliseum?(btw, that spelling, though correct, looks really weird)

Related, I totally predicted the Pokemon Gym Theme song that was added into the game. Albeit, I was predicting the Anime version of it(from the first 4 main Series, spin-offs included, till the Black/White seasons where they changed it to be a carbon copy of the actual game music, and not orchestrated). What I didn't predict(because I already knew it'd be the version from the games, dur) was that it was combined into the Evolution theme. FYI, I would've liked just the Gym theme. XD

I've suggested a Pokemon Stadium stage that has a layout for all 17 types, cycling through Normal and four random ones throughout the fight.

I sure said that!

I kind of like having more than one Stadium course, which is why I was happy with the split.

Albeit, if they all randomize among the 17 types so only 4 appear at a time, that works too.

Okay, if they need any anime remixes of Pokemon music, this is one that they'd be insane to overlook:

[up]Did you know that the Pokémon Stadium theme in Melee was based on the anime version of the games' title screen theme? Compare: Melee, Anime. So it seems we already got something based on the anime after all.

@Odd1: ...I must favorite that. That's my favorite theme of all time from the Anime. That's actually based directly upon the Pokemon Gym Theme(when you enter the Gym). That's exactly what I was talking about earlier. It also had a more Heavy Rock version.(as in music type)

In Best Wishes, they remade it to be near identical to the current Game's version. It never showed up during the Advanced Saga(including Battle Frontier), and showed up once in the Diamond/Pearl Saga.

[up]Totally agreed there. I searched for so long to find that track on its own, and only a few months ago did I find it. It's one of the few things I would actually use the word epic to describe.

I never actually watched the anime past halfway through Johto (though I did watch a few Diamond and Pearl episodes), so I'm afraid I probably haven't heard the other version you're referring to.

[up][up]I figured they just took it directly from the anime's soundtrack and then looped it.

[up]The Melee version is very clearly based on the anime version. The notes are all the same, but it's a completely new recording, not taken directly from the anime.
