Unpopular opinion: I don't like that just throwing weapons at the opponent is almost universally better than using the weapon as intended. If I had any say in it, I would decrease the damage thrown weapons do by a lot, make most weapons unusable for their intended purpose if you throw them, and make weapons outright break if you throw them 2-3 times. I've always seen throwing the weapon as a way to get rid of a weapon you don't want or are done using, and doing damage with them as just a goofy easter egg, as opposed to the borderline Game-Breaker weapon throwing is nowadays.
That only applies to the battering weapons...
But I guess the breaking thing could go to the guns, because of rebound.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I just don't like that if the AI is controling my Mii Brawler of Babe Ruth, who holds a Home-Run Bat and has Fast Bat Swing, Babe's first impulse is to throw the damn thing.
That's weird, usually they don't throw battering items...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I wouldn't say that throwing weapons is universally more effective than using them as intended.
In fact, they nerfed it from Brawl. Star Rod and Home Run Bat used to be extremely powerful KO-worthy projectiles. Now they're a lot weaker when thrown.
Home Run Bat just isn't a very good item in general unless you're playing against idiots who stand still or walk into your swings (i.e. computer players).

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The bat isn't that much weaker.
But the star rod used to make you slide across the stage if thrown at you.
Like the moment it makes impact, every character just loses friction...like Luigi.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.It simply inflicted a tremendous amount of horizontal knockback.
The fan also did a lot of vertical knockback, though not to the same degree.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yes, it was ridiculous.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I've seen some of the shit people can do in Home Run Contest by dropping and immediately picking up the bat, inflicting absurd amounts of damage to the sandbag in the process.
That's still technically not throwing it and I've seen the video. It's done with some "tool assist" thing. Automated inputs of some sort, I'm guessing.
Not all of those are TAS...
Chances are, if it doesn't have TAS in the video title, it's most certainly not one.
And if it's from Smash 4, it's also not.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. From what I read, it's done by changing the button layout from the menu and holding a button that makes you pick up items as soon as possible.
Apparently, the newer ones are also done by rapidly pausing and unpausing the video, so that the players can do seemingly impossible actions in the sake of building up damage.

You kinda have to, in HRC....
Unless you plays as Gandorf...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.fire emblem is an underrepresented series in this game allow me to fix this
name: Gheb
series: fire emblemd the sacred stoenz
B: critical hit, does 60% has high knockback
side B: he runs really fast and throws you down for a spike
down B: he sits on u it kills you instantly
up B: he teleports behind the enemy and cuts them in half with his katana
final smash: he surprise buttseckses the enemy while the player is read Woody's Got Wood. this kills the enemy player IRL, if you play against the cpu the game breaks and kills you instead
And then there was silenceThat sounds physically impossible, but I'm sure you can do it if you believe!
For those not familiar with Fire Emblem memes, this◊ is Gheb. He's a Memetic Molester (borderline on the 'memetic' part) in the game he came from, and has a fangame/hack dedicated to him.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805the hack is full of jokes that a 6th grader would like and is like a 2004 time capsule
And then there was silence...Really? A oneshot character whose popularity comes from the fact that it's heavily implied he plans to rape a young woman? What, was Glass, whose swordsmanship is feared even by the gods, not good enough?
The early 2000's were a silly time.
This song needs more love.at least glass could hit you
And then there was silenceFuck Gheb* , give us Denning.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Gheb looks like he is melting.
I thought of a pretty out there idea, regarding Ridley.
Perhaps, instead of Ridley, it could be Ridley-X (an X-parasite mimicking Ridley), that way it can be smaller, but then it can shift its size for certain moves (like bigger claws to make claw swipes at a longer range).
I even thought of a Final Smash, Ridley-X grabbing one fighter (only one), a short animatic plays where X-Parasites swarm out of Ridley-X and cover the fighter, then they're launched at like Marth's Final Smash amounts, and the X-Parasites change into an AI fighter of [player Ridley-X caught] and helps him out for either a short amount of time or until it gets KO'd, whichever comes first.
