I think we're long overdue for a Bowser's Castle stage.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!... I kinda want every character to have a stage to be declared their home court, crazy as that probably would be.
I sure said that!I really like this mockup◊ of a Dr. Mario stage.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! That's nifty!
I sure said that!I agree, but I chose the 3D World iteration specifically because it's not the typical grim, fiery castle. It's lively and colorful and looks like a fun place to be, and I think the Mario-themed stages in Smash should reflect their home series's sense of lighthearted fun.

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Are there any playable characters in Smash Bros that don't have an accompanying stage?
Several. Most stages are tied to franchise, not character.
This song needs more love. Are there any playable characters that don't have an accompanying stage from their franchise?
It depends on your definition of accompanying stage, but for the most part yeah, plenty.
The only characters with a stage really associated with them are Luigi, Toon Link, Meta Knight, Ness, Palutena, and most of the single-character franchises.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! As a Donkey Kong fan, it bugs me that every Donkey Kong stage so far (except for 75m, but that's a nightmare to play on so it doesn't count) is set in a jungle. Donkey Kong Country and its sequels are the Trope Codifiers for ship and factory stages in platformers, pretty much, so I hope the next Donkey Kong stage is something like the Gangplank Galleon or Kremcroc Industries, Inc.
I guess the "obvious" choice is an icy stage based on Tropical Freeze, though, and that's okay too.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I would really like a Minecart Madness-based stage.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! How about one based on the Mole Train? It could be a hectic, fast-paced stage like Big Blue. The carts could periodically separate and rejoin, and Mole Miner Max could pop out of the engine to throw bombs at the players. It'd be neato.

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I'd do a pastiche of the minecart stages from the first game, but with the Mole Train as one of the platforms that can appear.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'd like a stage that runs as a train of minecarts that goes up and down steep inclines and has carts slide off or on from either end as it careens across an infinite track. Mole carts could be one of the things that roll in.
I'd also like a stage for R.O.B. already- Gyromite/Stack-Up is the only series that has a character but no stage as of now.

I sure said that! He's not really a character in those games...but they'd make stages good again.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.As of Smash 4, only R.O.B. doesn't have an accompanying stage from his franchise, though from what I've seen from Gyromite and Robot Stack, I don't think that they would make for very fun stages.

R.O.B.'s referred to as an invention of Professor Hector in the manuals for both relevant games- He's a character in them in that sense.
I mean, make a stage with the sort of look the Subspace Bomb Factory had that has red and blue pillars that raise and lower at certain intervals and boom, R.O.B. stage.

I sure said that!I want a mash up for the bramble and forest stages from Country 2.
Mostly because we need a battle remix of Forest Interlude.
I'm down with Gangplank Galleon as a DK stage.
Also, the Mario Circuit stages are kinda tied to Mario himself.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!On the topic of Gangplank Galleon, maybe they could make one in the style of Retro-era Donkey Kong Country and have Tikis/Snowmads/Kremlings watch the fight. They could cheer if a villain like Bowser or Ganondorf scores a KO, and boo when a hero scores.
I'm pretty sure it'd come in if King K. Rool was added in.
It's been 3000 years…If K. Rool ever makes it in, he should have his costumes from his various appearances.
In all size variations as well...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.If King K. Rool makes it in (and the fact that he hasn't yet is nothing short of an outrage), I hope they use his Paon design, plus tail. The classic Rare design is good, but in my opinion, the Paon redesign is much nicer and more expressive. The King K. Rool Mii costume uses the Rare design, but the Kritters in Smash Run use the Paon design, so it could go either way.
As for his Final Smash, it's gotta be the Blast-O-Matic, right? That or his giant form from Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
I like those little Easter eggs like Palutena's Guidance, Snake's codecs, and the Star Fox chatter in Corneria, Lylat Cruise, and Orbital Gate Assault. I hope we get more of those.
I also hope the next Mario-themed stage is based on Bowser Land and/or Switch Scramble Circus, but that's neither here nor there.
