Jiggs really does need some buffs. I mean, I was surprised she was the lowest at first, due to still being an air demon and all, and ones like Zelda going higher, since she still had nearly all of the same problems from Brawl and Melee.

But things change, and I love that they do. The meta has gotten more interesting. There's still clearly going to be some that aren't viable at high levels, including one of my mains, but that's just a problem with game balance that comes up. The series favors faster characters by default, as well as those who have really good projectiles/long-ranged jabs. That won't change unless they remove all projectiles and make everyone somewhat slow. Which would suck the fun out the series, to be honest. I love playing Ganondorf. I know he isn't very viable. And that is fine with me. I can deal with that because what's more important to me is getting better with him and having other mains as well so I can switch it up when playing. This way, I have good counters to other characters, which also makes sure I don't get stale in how I play.

Ganondorf actually has some solid results out of all the bottom tier characters.

Probably helps that he's very strong and heavy.

I'm aware, but I do believe that he really can't get far against the far bigger high tiers. Keep in mind it's very specific. I haven't seen his new matchup chart, but I know way back when, Fox was not a good counter to him. At least from personal experience. Keep in mind it was a close battle(I had no practice with Smash 4 Ganondorf with the Gamecube controller, and he had a lot of practice with Fox, but that is due to me secondarying Ganondorf in Brawl partially, and cause Ganondorf is tanky and hits like a truck), but Fox's lack of power really made it hard for him to do much but get blasted away by basic attacks.

Is there anyone he's good against now? I probably should start looking at the charts.

If Tabuu was a playable character then that means he could be triple S tier?

There aren't any official MU charts yet and there's probably not gonna be one for a long time still.

Alright. Thank you. I probably can't play competitively enough to figure it out myself, and all I can do is note pre-patch stuff at best.

Well, I still enjoy playing 'em.

Do note that my current mains are Link, Ganondorf, Dr. Mario, Palutena, and the last one may be Bayonetta or Mario. I have yet to decide due to not playing often. I find all of them fun or interesting to work with. Palutena I just seem to work well with, even if she's actually my least favorite addition(Medusa bias, won't lie). But she's so unique and I can seem to just get her playstyle well. Then again, I'm probably playing her in an unviable fashion, so eh.

Right now I've mostly been using Pika and Toon Link as mains, as well as Corrin. I probably should see if there is someone in a higher tier I click well with (Mario seems like a definite option), but I'm good with my mains right now.

I mean I can more-or-less play everyone (and enjoy doing so), but those are my go-tos for actually being competitive.

I originally started with Mario and Link due to the demo. I clicked well with 'em. Mario is amazing in this game, which after his poor showing in Brawl, makes sense. He was only average in the first two games(which was the point at the time, at least, for him. He represented a well-balanced character that wasn't too strong or too weak. I do believe he might've been mid-high-tier overall, but in lower play, he wasn't super special).

I gravitated towards Dr. Mario for two reasons; I enjoyed playing him in Melee and the Tornado.

I've been sticking with Greninja since the beginning but I think I've reached my highest point and now I'm just going down due to not playing as much =V

When I do play, I tend to gravitate to Cloud the most out of anyone, but Mario and Sonic are also characters I do quite well with. Same with Bayonetta, Ryu, and Captain Falcon. I also like Fox, Mega Man, Lucas, Ness, Pac Man, Roy, Corrin, Lucina, Ganondorf, and Bowser quite a lot.

We could play sometime later, not now because it's 3 AM here lol

haha it's 2AM here- but definitely some time later.

I'm not good with Ryu, but I can easily pull off his unique moves due to constant Street Fighter/Killer Instinct/Mortal Kombat/Soul Calibur playing. Main reason I enjoy playing as him, cause it feels natural. Not that I can main him, due to his other moves not working well for me. I can't seem to hit it right. I was not all that great with him in SF anyway.

By now, Mewtwo is probably my primary main in 4, and I also frequently play as Lucario, the Villager, Marth, and Yoshi.

That feel when you have to choose which of your mains to support in this week's Conquest...

But in seriousness, my best is Wario, and I'm decent with Yoshi, Boozer, Robin, and Mr. G&W.

Lately I've been practicing as Dedede. He IS perfect, after all. I also finally got the hang of Rosalina and Luma, but I wouldn't consider myself an expert.

When I play, I usually tend to switch character every round, but I like to think that my primary main is Lucas, with Samus and Dedede as secondaries. I enjoy playing as Wario and Duck Hunt, too, and there's a wide variety of characters I'll switch between when on FG. I'm kinda useless with the space animals or Marth-likes, though.

I've also taken a fondness to the good doctor lately.

I don't care if he's inferior to Mario, I just love making medical puns while fighting.

Don't feel too bad. I like playing with the Doc more than Vanilla Mario myself. I blame it on liking his moveset better. (i.e. Dr. Cyclone > Fludd)
