What, these retro amiibos in particular?

I never saw them.

The gamestop by me had like 4 or 5.

I preordered mine, so I have them luckily.

They're great.

I'm making my wishlist for Christmas...

All of it is amiibos. >_>

Well one of them would have been Star Fox Zero, but since that's delayed maybe Star Wars: Battlefront (3).

It's just a matter of gauging where I still have free time.

I'd import the retro character I enjoy playing as (Duck Hunt) and maybe Mr. Game and Watch.

The retro characters are sold separately in Europe, at least. They're still everywhere, too. But, this is a conversation for the amiibo thread, no?

But they're Smash amiibos.

And I don't like that thread's title...it's so defeatist.

I actually didn't know that until I looked at the first page of the thread.

And GameStop still has the retro three-pack available online. Or you can ask an employee at your local store to put one on hold for you.

x4 I take it you don't want R.O.B.? I'd say three amiibo for $35 (two of which you already want) is a better deal.

I don't care for ROB and Game and Watch is a maybe.

I just wish R.O.B.'s Famicom Robot colors were available without importing. Dark red and off-white look nicer than glorious gray and slightly less gray.

Okay, how would you guys rank all the games in the series? Count all fangames you have played in this if possible.

My ranking:

1. Wii U
2. Smash Flash 2
3. Melee
4. 3DS
5. 64
6. Brawl

I have not played Crusade yet (I want to try it out) and I am unable to play Project M.

1) Wii U/3DS (I count them as one game, personally) 2) Brawl 3) Melee 4) 64

Controversial opinion is controversial.

Wii U > Brawl > Melee > 64.

Haven't played 3DS so can't rank it.

Wii U/3DS > 64 > Brawl Minus = PM > Melee = Brawl

4 is most balanced with most unique characters and stuff, 64 is the original and always fun to play, Melee and Brawl both have positives and negatives that balance them out. PM and Minus because they're just fun.

4 > Brawl > Melee > 64

I just think that each instalment is better than the last.

IMO, I think fangames should be ranked separately. They're not part of the actual games, even if they are based on them.

Seeing as how Smash Flash 2 is aiming for a more professional goal than Smash Flash 1, I do put it in rankings. It is very close to being my favorite, though.

I don't really have any top preference outside of saying 64 is the weakest, and that's only from reading about and watching it. I love the SSE in Brawl, have really fond memories of Melee, and 4 is solid overall but lacks good secondary content that Melee and Brawl had.

Eh, I'm of the opinion each new Smash has been better and I've never tried the fan games. I might give them a try at some point, but I also doubt I'll feel left out if I don't get to it

I would definitely recommend playing Smash Flash 2. You can customize the control options to your liking in that one.

I tried playing Crusade, but the control config screen was very confusing ("what does 'walk' mean?", I asked myself) and quite awkward when attempted. I hope Smash Flash 2 is better.

Wii U has the best multiplayer thus far, but its side content and singleplayer content is REALLY lacking compared to Brawl.

I personally judge the Smash games on the little things, as I do with most games. I liked how the games progressively became noticeably more detailed as they went along. Adding in cute references, homages and stuff to the original franchises.

The one thing that really pissed me off was them changing Wario's side smash from his Signature Move shoulder charge to a boring giant fist. That's one of the biggest disappointments for me in Smash 4.

Wario has twoseparate series to his name, but only the Bike and maybe the Wario Waft come from other games. This kinda sucks.
