Wait, the pivot thing is a movement skill? I thought it referred to the trick where you can have your back turnred while jumping, so you can use forward-aimed back aerials.

As it turns out it's present in Smash 64 as well.

re: Characters my friends use: My friend is one of those Ness users who constantly spam PK Fire, and Dthrow to F-air. He doesn't use the back throw, weirdly enough.

Odd, because my friends usually leave more niche characters alone. With Shulk, Falcon, and a FE character being exceptions.

I have two other friends who use either Toon Link, Shulk, Sheik, and Robin the most.

I think I'm the odd Smash player who actually uses a variety of characters.

As with most fighting games, I try to play as everyone in Single Player to get a good grasp on how each character plays. Then, to keep things interesting, I use Random to pick my fighter when playing with friends.

Playing the same character over and over again until I've mastered him or her to the point that every match is the same match is boring. I don't want every match to be the same match. I want every match to be a new experience.

I play as quite a few characters as well, but if I'm on For Glory or something similarly competitive, I try to stick to a few characters that I know I'm good as.

My friend was kinda on the fence about who he was going to use in this game. I think he actually didn't like this one as much as Brawl, but then Ryu arrived and now he absolutely adores this game.

Dabuz is seemingly the primary target of the Smash 4 hate train, lol. Except for when everybody is yelling at Zero.

Moon:I remember the Twitch chat really didn't like Dabuz when that match was on stream. Checked r/smashbros afterwards, they weren't really big fans either.

Zero's a pretty cool guy though. He doesn't rub his god-tier status in peoples faces.

Except when he's playing up a persona in order to get people motivated.

I've played Dabuz before, he's a pretty cool guy, he even gave me advice.

Something about Zero rubs me the wrong way though.

I gotta stand by him because he's a countryman. And IIRC people dislike Dabuz because he plays very... let's say methodically.

He plays defensively with a top tier defensive character that many find irritating to deal with.

It's really no shock that he would get hate.

So apparently I can't hashtag things. RIP in pieces.

Out of curiosity, do you guys prefer Omega stages or base stages?

I usually prefer base stages unless I'm playing Temple, Great Cave Offensive, and Palutena's Temple with less than 6 players.

It depends honestly. I like both about equal overall.

I like the Omega-Form option, at least, though I really wish Battlefield were the competitive default instead of FD- It's an old point, I know, but Final Destination does really favor projectile users a lot, and this is coming from someone who mostly plays R.O.B. and Duck Hunt.
