Didn't notice that part of Sakurai's miiverse post until just now. I suppose Wallace needs something to make up for losing his champion spot again.
Waiting for Sakurai to now do a trailer hinting Jigglypuff's return, then N or Zoroark is announced instead.
Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/What the heck would N do? They're done with transforming characters, so other than talking fast and being pretty, he doesn't have much going for him in a fight.
I know you were joking but still
Have no idea about how N would work, but Zoroark could probably act a bit like Bartz from Dissidia; copy moves but have his version be a bit different. Eg. Side+B could be an alteration on Bowser's Side+B, with altered properties.
In the games, Zoroark does get a pretty varied moveset that a smash moveset could be made for him.
Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/I could see Zoroark's Illusion ability manifesting as it generating illusory clones of itself or something, with specials varying which of the locations is the real one based on charge or button holds or something similar.
I sure said that!I still wanna see a Donkey Kong stage. And a Yoshi stage.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! There has been a Yoshi stage shown in some of the pics. Sadly, it looks to be based off of Yoshi's New Island (really did not like that game. Was OK with the art style, but didn't like everything else about it. Was really hoping it would be good, seeing as Yoshi's Island 1 is my favorite of the Mario platformers)
EDIT: I can't find it now, but I swear I saw one.

Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/If you're talking about this◊, this is not the Yoshi stage. This is the Mushroom Kingdom U stage.
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashI still don't understand the hatred Yoshi's New Island gets. Granted it is my intro to the series but I still think it's pretty good. Hell it's harder than I expected it to be which is why I'm stuck halfway through the game.

Cause people are still hung up on that one time there were 2 New Super Mario games in the same year and act like it's the poster child of over saturated video game sequels. Probably some other stuff too, but I believe thats why the hate is so vitriolic.
@Chariot: It's an inferior follow-up to the SNES classic, as it's a third-party commission job instead of something built by the more talented Nintendo EAD. The same goes with Yoshi's Island DS.
I'm looking forward to Woolly World, though, since one of the original creators is involved in it.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.according to the ymmv page, one reason to dislike it is the name :V
specifically, cause they added "new" and people think they should stop adding it to revivals of older games. pparantly got worse when it was confirmed link between worlds was just gonna be "new legend of zelda"
...kinda petty, but also what nintendo what?

I dunno, guys, I played the demo for that game and it was pretty atrocious. The graphics were butt-ugly and the gameplay felt really sluggish. It doesn't help that I'm already a proponent of nice 2D graphics. The original just seemed better in every respect imaginable, and that seems pretty inexcusable.
@Odd1: Is there a statute of limitations on that policy regarding how long ago other works were? Also, Smash itself doesn't really care much about spoilers. Someone explaining what was going to be explained in the game isn't the worst thing in the world.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIs the world's nostalgia boner wearing off already?
We barely knew ye.
New Island is very weak compared to the original SNES game. And not just for nostalgia purposes- the gameplay is so sluggish and heavy compared to the original, the music is bad, the art style lacks charm, level design is only okay...
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Seriously, there are so many worse games which lays down spoilers. Like say Dissidia Final Fantasy where, for example, almost every stage is base on late-game arena.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Yeah, New Island wasn't disliked just because it wasn't the original Yoshi's Island. The game was better than YIDS, but that wasn't saying much. The level design was pretty bad, and the game like others said, feels super slow. It takes longer to throw the eggs than in the other 2 games. Oh and the music sucked big time.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! Now come on, that's just unfair to pick one of the weaker tracks. This one is pretty good, if you ask me.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!I just didn't like the game.
As said before, I found the graphics to be ok, but I found the level design and music to be bad.
The level design did start to pick up towards the end imo, then it just ended. The final boss was also a massive step down from the original too.
The levels also felt connected to each other in YI too. The penultimate world I found to be the most notable for that (iirc, mountain base -> climbing mountain -> skiing down part of mountain -> sky levels until castle). Sadly, that feeling wasn't there in YNI.
Also, really REALLY did not like the Super Guide in the game. The fact the game tended to make it really hard to avoid the item didn't help (iirc, they always made a pipe close to the checkpoint shoot it out, meaning you had to wait then carefully jump around the bubble after it appeared)
Just my opinion on the matter though (really should not have mentioned YNI).

Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/So Reshiram, Zekrom, and Milotic seems to be a reference to the Parfum Palace in XY, which has statues of all three of them. Makes more sense than anything else.
Except that it's the Unova League/N's Castle. Not sure why it'd include elements from Parfum Palace.
That said, I don't mind Milotic appearing. Would've probably preferred it as a Pokeball mon though.
I like Milotic and all, but I have to agree with the consensus that its appearance here is a Violation of Common Sense. You'd expect stage props/hazards to have something to do with the stage. Cresselia in Spear Pillar makes more sense than Milotic in N's Castle.

What is a fandom? A miserable little pile of flame wars! 3DS FC: 0387-9377-7408 PSN ID: Raven King SageI just want to point out that we can't see N'Castle at all in this picture. T Hat in the background is the Unova Champion's Temple.
I still am of the opinion Milotic is just a Zoroark in disguise wandering about in the pools.
"And kung fu is a terrible way to run a company" - alliterator
Milotic, Zekrom, and Reshiram appear in the new 3DS stage.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
