However, the world government erases everyones memories and installs false ones, so that we all think that we know people that died. The reality? Those people either never existed, or they were relocated and given extensive plastic surgery, and don't remember you at all.

The world was created ten minutes ago, but we were given false memories to think it's been here longer.

Why would they bother to do all that when we're already in the matrix?

Aww. I was hoping for a thread about quantum immortality...

(That would be the idea that, if there is a multiverse with infinite universes, your own consciousness will be shared across parallel universes, every time you've been in a life threatening situation, some universes have diverged with your death, others go on with "you" none the wiser.)

This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Everyone goes into a state of constant deja-vu that lasts for a few weeks, 'dies,' gets reincarnated into the same person as a baby and relives the same life over and over-like Nietzsche's eternal recurrence.

This is why you should never do drugs.

What if we were already reincarnated and we just forgot? Maybe whenever we think we die, we are really being hit by a beam of energy from a government weapon, used to teleport your mind into a newborn baby. And it will infinitely go on, until the end of the universe, then you will be reincarnated into the beginning of the universe, then on and on until you are back in your original self! I bet the only way not to be reincarnated is to travel into space and get yourself killed away from the government weapon's range, like flying into a black hole or taking off your helmet outside.

That quantum immortality thing is a freaky idea. Think of every life-threatening situation you've been in, and imagine a corresponding universe where it killed you...

If true, then I've:

Died at birth due to a complication I survived in this universe.

Died in an ATV accident.

Committed suicide, possibly more than once if contemplation counts.

Busted my brains falling down stairs crashing into a concrete floor.

Been run over and trampled into the ground by a horse.

In which I attempt to be a writer.

Not to mention all the universes where you were in life-threatening situations that never happened in this universe...

So if there are alternate universes...I would be getting awesome grades right now?! Darn you, AU me!

...of course, a ton of other problems could be happening in those universes.

I hold the theory every human is one person, reincarnated endlessly at various points in time with no memory of their previous lives.

Everything that we think we know about the world, and even about ourselves, are all lies. We all live in a completely illusory world. Something like The Matrix.

In reality, we are the matrix. That's why we have false memories. We were programmed to think that, and why bother reincarnating us? We'll just wiped and restarted. Btw, tomorrow is when the simulation ends.

My game. I reckon it's gonna be a big one

It's like being poor and finding out you've been a millionnaire all along, but the government was hiding the truth. Happy - then Mad - then Happy again! idea And, maybe, still a bid mad.
