Skullgirls Thread

Skullgirls' 2nd anniversary of release was a couple of days ago, and to celebrate, some members of Lab Zero have posted some of the first things they ever did involving Skullgirls.

Beat train starts rollin' next Tuesday.

No word on Steam or Xbox?

L0's hoping that Steam will be same day and Xbox will come the day after, but there's a chance that Xbox will be fortnight'd.

Speaking of Big Band...

This character may just be the sole reason I got hyped for Skullgirls.

GETTING DAT FREE DOWNLOAD ASAP.

i can honestly say that Big Band's design is unlike any other fighting game character i've seen (and i've seen a lot).

So I was randomly looking at Double's gallery in other wiki and found this◊. And for some reason this reminded me of this.◊

...*sigh* Pity that its going to take a forever before we see Skullgirls' story continue enough so that we find out who the heck trinity are...

Venus, Aeon, and their mother (possibly Double.)

On a more serious note, Venus is Space, Aeon is Time, and the mother (again, possibly Double) is unknown as of yet, to my knowledge.

Hey, I know that much, but what are they? There is cathedral for them so I guess they are "gods", but what is the deal with Ms. Skullface aka the mother? And why does Double keep having paralles to her?(Double isn't the mother because Double serves the trinity <_< She seems to the mother's creation since she refers in her quotes Aeon by name(in a way you would refer to a god), but refers someone else as "master".)

Mother is the mother of Time and Space.

Her name is possibly Lamia.

I say that is very liable. One of Double's quotes is "Blessed are those that revere Lamia."

Nope. Not yet. Lab Zero hopes the 360 patch will be available on Wednesday, though.

Has that quote been removed or is Skullgirls wiki just incomplete?

There IS a title update, but no Compatibility pack yet. Downloading the update now reverses your copy to vanilla SG. The Compatibility pack should come before too long, though, and it will bring your copy back up to Encore.

You mean up to Encore for the first time. I think the latest version for 360 Skullgirls is still SDE.

Big Band's out on Steam now. PSN people will have to wait a little longer.

Just played BB's story mode.

First almost unambiguously happy ending, besides maybe Peacock's! Just a tiny bit of bitter taste to it, but we already had that from Peacock's story.

Console players are being shafted again; Big Band is not on the PS Store.

He's on Steam though so there's a plus I guess.

Story mode is pretty effing good. Big Band and Peacock double teaming Marie. Plus seeing Irvin again was kinda neat.
