BONE Movie in the works

I've heard nothing but good things about Tin-Tin's animation, but I still haven't seen the movie myself. Still, we can hope, right?

^ I mostly remember that movie's animation for the worst case of No Flow in CGI I've ever seen. (Seriously, that little tuft of hair on Tintin's head should at least react to water . . .)

I haven't actually seen it, so I can't say.

Don't Worry, Jeff Smith has a dream for this and he won't let it go wrong. Because about ten years back a studio wanted to make a Bone movie, Jeff was about to agree but the studio insisted that they insert songs from Justin Timberlake. Jeff ended the deal right there.

He said "Lord of the Rings would never consider inserting Justin Timberlake, why should my books be treated any differently?" so in other words, Jeff WILL make sure this goes right.

We talked about that many times here.

Is this based on a certain arc? Because this series is massive.

I think some of the earlier attempts were based on the first three volumes (Out From Boneville, The Great Cow Race, Eye of the Storm).

That seems to be the case, but its not really feasible at this point. Its not really popular enough to warrant a big film like it was 5 or 6 years ago. :(

But we haven't seen any announcements for months.

(Four years later...)

The Bone movie is moving forward at Warner Bros. and it'll be directed by Kung Fu Panda and The Little Prince (2015)'s Mark Osborne.

I now have so much hope for this project.

... Ugh. Typing "Bone fan animation" on the You Tube search bar only brings up Undertale stuff now. Curse you, companies who keep using basic words for names!!
