With his archnemesis killed, and his archrival going to die in a couple years from a heart virus, it's likely Vegeta retreats to some corner of the galaxy to wallow in depression.

EDIT: Actually, there probably wouldn't be a strong rivalry with Goku in that universe or at least as strong of one since Goku never achieves Super Saiyan status without Freiza to enrage him. Or if Vegeta is still miffed, he'll try to fight what's left of the Z-fighters and get killed by Gast then (if he fights Buu/Cell, he'll come to Earth eventually).

It is true that Vegeta never really tried to rule the universe after Frieza was dead. He focused entirely on beating Goku.

That being said, Vegeta still has the potential to become much more powerful then Gast, so it might not be a good idea to leave him to his own devices, even if he is really going to settle beefs with his old working buddies first.

Gast doesn't necessarily know that.

I mean, there hasn't even been a super saiyan in that universe.

Vegeta doesn't even know what a super saiyan is at this point. Remember how he kept claiming he was a super saiyan throughout the namek saga?

I guess earth is pretty much fucked in this universe. No dragonballs, no super saiyan Goku, but the androids are still going to show up... And with no redeemed Vegeta, there's no Trunks.

Remember though that they might not be as strong this time around. Plus since Freeza and Cold never went to earth this time around and Trunks not existing means that Cell won't have their DNA and will be much weaker.

I wonder what Cell minus those three would be like...

Cell would be weaker, but the androids' power would be the same. And the earthlings have nothing that can deal with that.

Actually, since that scout of Gero's went to Namek, Cell could have Gast's DNA.

Did the insect go to Namek? Might be mixing up Dragon Ball Z Abridged with the original.

If it did, Gero would have been aware of Goku's Super form. Since he wasn't, it's safe to assume that the bug got the Frieza's cells when they arrived on earth.

...except both Goku and Trunks took that particular moment to show off their Super forms for basically a lark, so that theory doesn't make much sense either.

Then again, not much of anything makes any sort of sense in DBZ.

Maybe the bug left once it got the DNA?Wait, no, Trunks went Blond during the fight against Freeza.

The bug collected dna for Cell, Gero says he sropped his surveilance when they left for Namek. He didnt see the Freeza battle on Earth.

People conflate the big with Gero's scouting a lot, they're not the same.

Yeah, you're right. The surveillance that Gero did was different from the DNA picking bug. That one plucked the cells from Frieza. Gero stopped his scouting when they left for Namek and did estimates on their rate of growth from what he already had.....

And that went pretty wrong.

Oh, there was two. Thought the scanner was the DNA picker-upper.

After a certain point all Cell's stuff was automated, since Gero knew it'd take too long to make in his lifetime. Which would imply he stopped working on Cell personally before he decided to turn himself into a cyborg.

Wow. So just like I said, he still becomes a Super Saiyan, but it isn't enough. I guess after seeing Gast's power, he still feels like he's lacking.....

And Vegeta wanting more power is never a good thing.
