So, for those of you who have finished the game, who are your favorite characters?
Ace, Clover, Seven, Lotus...it's really hard to pick just one you know.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadTop Two Males: Snake, Ace
Top Two Females: Clover, June
Snake is awesome because...well...he's Snake! It was really badass to see him go all Terminator on Ace. And he's got blind superpowers! I bet he's a better driver than Clover!
I wanted to punch Ace in the face after he killed Clover in the Safe and Sub Endings, turned out to be evil, AND was the guy responsible for June's death, but I felt so sorry for him in the epilogue of the True Ending. I thought he was a detective on my initial playthrough because of his coat and beard, but that turned out to be Seven!
Clover is awesome. She's the sassiest of the three females and she just radiates personality. It was always fun going through doors with her. Her homicidal side was kind of fun to see too...though not for Junpei! xD
June, I saw you being Zero a mile away. It wasn't even a surprise. However, her cute and innocent routine mixed with her Zero-persona and her very very VERY active imagination ("It looks like a demon... with an elephant trunk... sucking on a human's brain.") makes her an appealing character to me.

Seven and Lotus, hands down.
I haven't actually finished it, but Seven is definitely one of my favorites, too. I never suspected him of being a Retired Badass, but that was a really cool addition.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaWhen I decided to "follow" June around, I was also surprised to find myself liking her a lot more than I thought I would. I don't normally go for "I AM LOVE INTEREST" characters, but she was done pretty well and kind of reminds me of myself.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI like how she has an overactive imagination.
"It looks like a demon... with an elephant trunk... sucking on a human's brain."
BTW, you're a girl, Freezair?
If I had to choose the male character I liked most when I played through this game, it would have to be Junpei. While I enjoyed finding out about Seven's Hidden Depths, and Snake had a moment or two where you just can't help but think highly of him, our main male protagonist was probably the least capable of handling the situations he found himself in and was able to achieve what none of the others could have done. Even if June was a massive influence on that latter aspect...
As for a favourite female, I'd say Clover. I liked her general attitude more than I did June's or Lotus's, and her relationship with Snake was fascinating to watch.
I like how Junpei pulled a Phoenix Wright on Ace in the Safe Ending.
I rewatched the Knife and Safe Endings today. With commentary from the player. Tomorrow I'll do Sub, and, if I manage to work up the nerve to see "the face", Axe.
P.S.: My God! I AM a troper! How did your avatar know? D:
While I was watching the 999 videos, I noticed I got a missed call.
The number was "000-000-0000".
O_O
Consider this a privilege. You have been chosen.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI already had a dream about being stabbed to death by the killer; I do NOT need the real experience. D:<
Y'know, it'd be cool to be in a 999'esque game in real life...y'know, without the threat of drowning or blowing up if I mess up.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadOr being STABBED/AXED. >_>
Hob, I am now adding you to the surprisingly long list of "People on the Internet Who Think I Am Male." :P
I've often thought that the "room escape" concept would make for a great game show. Set up a group of people in a house with puzzles in each room. If they escape, they win prizes! If not, well, there's still a copy of their home game.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaSorry. Your name reminds me of Frieza and he's a male. ^^;;
There's something a bit like that in Ace's backstory. The full explanation is here, but the short version is that the Nonary Game 9 years ago was just one of many games where people would place bets on the winners, while the losers had a tendency to wind up dead.
I stayed up 4 hours later than normal last night, trucking through to the true ending.
My mind is currently splattered all over the floor and walls of my room.
The first visual novel I've played, and I'm definitely looking forward to further ones.
As for favorite character discussion, I like seven.

Two Wong's don't make a white.Ah, you finished the game?
I knew from the beginning that June was going to be Zero. The story kind of reminded me of Batman - Mask of the Phantasm, which had a somewhat similar romance plot (Vigilante killer shows up in town while Bruce's old flame also shows up). Still, June being Zero makes her really cool...and kind of scary, too. ._.
I can't read the answers page. Not after I read that threat by Zero.

Hell, Zero can kill me. I gotta know these answers
Does anyone know how well this game sold? I'm hoping for a sequel of course.
Woops. That woulda sucked.

Two Wong's don't make a white.Spoiler that. Some people here haven't finished the game yet. o3o
I wouldn't want to be murdered by June or Snake. They seem the scariest to me...aside from Clover.
Have you heard the story of the two Santa Clauses? It goes that a long time ago there were two Santas... One of 'em wore white, and the other one wore black. The white Santa gave presents to good kids, and the black Santa played tricks on bad kids.
They went on like that for a while, but eventually the black Santa's tricks started to get worse and worse. Pretty soon the white Santa couldn't stand it anymore... And he stabbed the black Santa to death. When he stabbed the other Santa, the white Santa got blood all over his clothes. And that's why, these days, his clothes are red. You could say that red is all that's left of the black Santa.
I wonder... which Santa I am. The white Santa or the black Santa..?
He's both. I should have realized he wasn't just saying that to be cute.
AKA: He is simultaneously helping his sister (white santa) but playing tricks on the rest (black santa).

Two Wong's don't make a white.
Yeah, it's definitely mapped to one of the buttons. I want to say it's Y, but it's definitely X or Y.
