So where is your user picture from? Care to share what pics you use on other forums? (I know we used to have a thread about this, but it seems it was lost in The Great Crash.)
My current avatar, and all my previous avatars, are from Gunnerkrigg Court. So it's probably safe to assume that all my future avatars will be from there as well.

Oh wow really? Why would they do that? They ought to know some tropers have GIGANTIC galleries, hell there was a little bit of panic over it eating bandwidth handful of years ago, wasn't there?

They fixed the original bandwidth issue. But that's something you should report, Lem. We should have the option for a simple dropdown menu anyway(that just lists the url name), or lets us go to full pages to choose.
^^ Well, the new avatar selector does look very nice (I got it to work on a more powerful machine yesterday), it just doesn't work once you have enough avatars. 
And I'm a bit hesitant about voicing my complaint, seeing as how I was close to losing my entire gallery last time the topic was raised.

Still, dumping ALL OF THEM on you without any questions asked is pretty dumb.
Even on my much smaller gallery that's 20~30 megs of pictures in one shot. I frequently browse from a very limited bandwith network so that would be pretty gruesome surprise for my quota.
And I think they're better than answering "hey, new system creates a problem where the old one didn't" with "just forbid anybody from going near where the problem is".

(Odd. Image uploader seems to be cropping my 100x100 avatar to 99x99, which looks just slightly blurred when it's rescaled back to 100x100. It really shouldn't be cropping in the first place. That's my job.)
