...
That'd be pretty cool.
That being said, we need a female Ginger for the doctor.
It's impressive that we don't know anything yet though. How are they managing to keep such a tight lid on it?
One Strip! One Strip!Maybe they haven't picked anyone yet, that'd make keeping it secret a lot easier.

When did we first find out about Capaldi being 12.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! Some point before the 50th anniversary. Mostly because he cameos in it.
Not Three Laws compliant.expect to know who the new doctor is in a month or two because theres no way in hell they can keep that secret.
As for the episode they referenced the doctor who magazine comic story the world shapers so i am kinda happy about that
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."We'll probably find out whenever someone manages to get spy shots on location.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Unless the regen takes place in the TARDIS as most of them have.
So it'd be "look who we saw hanging around Roath Lock" then.
"Yup. That tasted purple."The version of One we see at the end of this episode is the next Doctor with Twelve regenerating into an older version of One.
Stable Time Loop, yo.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Well, in 50th special they did mention revisiting old faces...
Nah, The South Pole is where the First Doctor regenerated. Both Doctors will be helping the other cope with letting their next incarnations take over
So this is taking place during the First Doctor's last story as well then?
That's so crazy. I like it.
One Strip! One Strip!Ayyy, finally caught up. Only had to watch four episodes today to do it.
Disappointing to see refusal to regenerate pop up again, especially out of nowhere (he's been pretty casual about regeneration for the last three seasons), but at least this time it's a somewhat more mature reason. Ten didn't want to change because he loved being Ten too much. Twelve doesn't want to change because he's tired of spinning the personality roulette wheel. I think that's fair after being thirteen different people over two thousand years.
That ending seemed rather dreamlike. I'm inclined to think the Special isn't going to be real, or at least, all happening in his head, and possibly One's head at the same time.
Getting shot in the back with a laser screwdriver or whatever he's calling it now at full blast is still not the most definitive death the Master's ever had.
Fresh-eyed movie blogWho said that?
I get the sense that 12 wants to die. Not in a suicidal way, but I think his thought process is basically "If I'm going to go, can I stay gone?"
I also get the impression that Twelve finally feels like, after having to deal with the question for his first two series, he has a good grip on who he is, and having to go through all of that again, after everything that's happened, is just too much.
What would you say was?
Oh God! Natural light!Being executed by the Daleks and having his body cremated, for one thing.
Then subsequently falling into the Eye of Harmony.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Pretty good finale for a lackluster season.
Perfect exit for Missy. I was laughing right alongside her and Saxon.
Okay exit for Bill. I really hope that she comes back for Series 11, as Bill was the best thing about this season, but if she has to go now that's probably the best way for her to exit.
Nardole has never really interested me, so his exit is unremarkable.
There's also burning to death (twice apparently), and getting trapped in a closed dimension in the process of collapsing in on itself while full of people who want to kill him.
Not Three Laws compliant.Didn't we already see most, okay, half of the beats of this episode? Then it involved town called Christmas? (edit. Wait a moment. And the rest of the beats we have also already seen, except then didn't we have them played by Clara and Ashildr, escaping in a less-liquid ship to see the universe.)
This season was a bit of disappointment. I really can't pinpoint exact reasons, but on the other hand, in retrospect I can say I liked only the Return of Doctor Mysterio, Extremis, Empress of Mars and the first part of the finale (and they weren't perfect either ... not sure if I wanted to watch them again).
But it was fun to see the Masters interact in the finale. One of the upsides of the finale was that Simm-Master was finally more interesting and Master-like than when we saw him previously.
It was a quite an improvement that we for once had a companion who wasn't portrayed as or even supposed to have the audience speculate about that. The downside for me was that I still can't say I am any more interested in their love interests than before.
Thinking about it, I'm not even sure who was Bill Potts, personality-wise. Except she likes girls. Of about her own age. I wanted to make sure you knew that. ... C'mon writers, we did not exactly need that line. Surprise appearance of Heather would have worked better without it. Only companions that felt like characters and we've seen recently ... Missy and River?
I hoped that having more than one companion around would have created some meaningful interaction between the cast and develop the characters but that kinda ... fell flat. Nardole surely had some moments, but most of the time he was more of a sidekick that hanged around instead of being a fully-fledged member of the cast.
In general, the whole show feels like there's too ... much ... stuff and things going in it, so too often anything doesn't seem to have enough time to develop any weight. Episodic adventure / monster of the week is fine if episodic self-contained adventures are good, but this time around they most of the time weren't very clever.
Let's see where the new showrunner takes the DW, but I suspect this show no longer aligns with my interests.

I must say, Nardole was so terribly underused one wonders why he was even there in the first place. This whole season felt a bit half-hearted to me.

Maybe Moffat was just running out of ideas. Maybe it really was time to finally call it quits.

So, we still don't know who the new Doctor is, right?
Gonna be one hell of a Christmas.
