I can be available at about 1:30-2:00.

Possibly sooner. About 1:00 or so. Depends on whether my lunch date makes it.

...Possibly a little later depending on how conversation goes I guess?

[up][up]I'm doing okay. Also, I'm playing a game called Freedom Force which lets you create your own Superheroes and the like, and it has tons of great fan-made content, including skins/meshes of several Doctors. So what I'm going to do is have Two, Four, Seven and Nine beat Ten through several different kinds of hell and then toss him over the equivalent of the Empire State Building. Because you can do that in Freedom Force.grin

Well, Here I am during the morning after watching Doctor Who.

So last night, After the parts in The Sea Devils where the Doctor and Master sword-fight and the Doctor just takes the Master's sandwich, And when the Doctor just takes a plate of cheese sandwiches from Jo (just so she couldn't eat them all) and begins eating them all by himself, It prompted me to make a sandwich for myself.

Me: THANKS, DOCTOR! SEE WHAT YOU'VE MADE ME DONE?! (a few seconds later) Me: I'm sorry, baby. I love you. (attempts to kiss the screen)

[up]Honestly, it wasn't long after that scene that I gave up watching The Sea Devils all-together. And no, it wasn't that scene which made me give up; rather, it was the best scene in the entire story, so it's got that going for it. But this was the first story that made me realize that, Glorious Dead (which, again, people should read, because it's awesome,) and Sound of Drums aside, the Masters' plans don't make any goshdarn sense, and while I've since come to accept it, at the time, I couldn't swallow the bullcrap that both the Master and the story itself were trying to feed me. Also, at least one of the Sea Devils looks like a giant dong in a condom; heck, it's the photo used for the recap page on This Very Wiki. Maybe if I went back to the story someday, I'd think better of it, (though not by much,) but I'm still going through the New Series, so it'll be awhile before I go back to stuff I've already seen. Though the swordfight was still awesome.

{Holds Eevee Girl Chey at swordpoint and eats her sandwich.}

-Parachutes in- Hey there, people. A question, if you don't mind. How does the TARDIS end up in Gallifrey in the end of "Listen"? Please, please tell me there's a logical — reasonable, hopefully — explanation. Please.

@Unnoun: Isn't Gallifrey supposed to be stuck in a pocked dimension that you can't reach, even in a TARDIS?
@Wackd: I thought the Doctor grew up on Gallifrey?
@Zarek: One can hope for internal consistency, no?

[up]I mean, really, there are any number of good reasons why the TARDIS shouldn't have taken itself there—even if it's not on Gallifrey, it's still a space where other Time Lords exist, and opens the possibility that the Doctor will cross his own timeline.

Fanwank any explanation you like, the TARDIS does this because it's a satisfying way to end the story.

I thought the Doctor set that up so that it was able to break the rules about crossing the timeline with the psychic goop stuff.

Doctor Who Means Never Having To Say You're Kidding

DOCTOR: "Just hold on tight. If anything bites, let it."
CLARA: "What is it?"
DOCTOR: "Tardis telepathic interface. You are now in mental contact with the Tardis, so don't think anything rude."
CLARA: "Why not?"
DOCTOR: "It might end up on all of the screens. The Tardis is extrapolating your entire timeline, from the moment of your birth, to the moment of your death."
CLARA: "Which I do not need a preview of."
DOCTOR: "I'm turning off the safeguards and navigation, slaving the Tardis to you. Focus on the dream. Focus on the details. Picture them, feel them. The Tardis will track on your subconscious and extract the relevant information. It should be able to home in on the moment in your timeline when you first had that dream. And then, we'll see."

CLARA: "Doctor. If I had have been distracted, what would have happened?"
DOCTOR: "We would probably have ended up in the wrong place."

The TARDIS and the Doctor constantly break any rules about time travel that was ever mentioned on the show (or dictated by common sense).

If you really want some Fanwank, I'd guess that Gallifrey is not as timelocked as it was before Day of the Doctor, so a TARDIS hiccup may make her land there.

It ought to be close enough to be under the same triple-strength timelock though, since the farm is the same one he later returned to with the Moment.
