I thought Ysengrin was the one who told her what Jones is. "Or tried to, anyway."
Indeed, although Annie may now have reason to question what he said, given what happened in the last chapter. *shrug*
Or Ysengrin, I don't always remember all the details.

"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"There are multiple ways of answering 'What are you?' Coyote could say he's an animal, a god, a trickster spirit or a figment of your imagination. Who knows what Jones is? Not Annie, or not completely.

Kay this was probably really obvious and I know I missed the discussion about it, but Mr. Eglamore's comment about Jones says that was his, and most likely the shown Eglamore family's, first encounter with her. The cheating thing was an...interesting analyzation though...
What is she!? Does she know Harman Smith or Kun Lan?

The caveman prediction should prove true by the end of the chapter!
At this point, immortality is obvious. The question is, how long has she been that way?
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. If we go back to wode-and-plaid, we can start talking Time Abyss.
What time period is being referenced in today's strip, Victorian?
Or early Edwardian. Can be either. <shrugs>
x5 Am seriously jonesing to see Jones in a cavegirl outfit.
Trump delenda estHeh. Jonesing.
Well, this explains why she was working in a filling factory.
Perhaps she joined the court because of this. The court could hold on to properties and what not for long periods of time without raising eyebrows- in a way a single person can not.
I wonder what caused Lady Elizabeth to give "Jones" her name. Maybe she was like, lonely with no heirs or she disliked her heirs, so she gave Jones her name?
The baby bat/ Screamed out in fright,/ 'Turn on the dark,/ I'm afraid of the light.'Or maybe it is exactly as it seems and she actually took the name for her own comfort or other purpose.

"The marvel is not that the Bear posts well, but that the Bear posts at all."Bear: Hmmm while I wouldn't say I think of Jones as some martyr, I would say I don't think she cares about physical comfort anymore. Not with her perpetual :| face.
Then what is the purpose behind her relationship with James?
Yes, I can buy that there is an ulterior motive to it, but until we see a reasonable one that conflicts perfectly with the idea of her affection for him being earnest, I am unwilling to discount her own concerns and comfort.

"The marvel is not that the Bear posts well, but that the Bear posts at all."I don't know, maybe because Eglamore is now an influential figure and she presumably has a lot of control over how he acts. Thus, she has more power and influence than her position would suggest. I personally assume that based on the nature of the flashbacks she sort of raised him to be a pawn, not a lover. Do I think she's evil? No, not really. Do I think she wants physical comforts and relationships? Not really.
Not feeling the usual doesn't mean not feeling anything. I'm guessing you can get pretty darned lonely over years and years and years, regardless about how indestructible you are, or limited your expressions may be.
Maybe he will be the next person to give her his name.
Trump delenda estI find Jones can still have a soft spot for Jims, despite generally having no emotions whatsoever. You know, like you can't be less concerned about some bug's welfare, but you still roll over that upside-down beetle you just found.

The chances of Coyote having given her a straight answer are close no nil.
alternatively, she simply wants confirmation from the robot's mouth, as it were?
