• Complete Monster: His Magnificence Dogmatika Maximus is the iron-fisted theocrat ruling the Dogmatika Nation, whose citizens are governed by 666 harsh commandments, including that they must actively participate in Maximus' efforts to wipe the continent's other societies off the face of the planet. When a teenage member of his corps of knights, Ecclesia, saves the life of Albaz, a mysterious shapeshifter from outside Dogmatika, Maximus marks them both for death, then, desiring an army to take on the other nations, performs a ritual that transforms all his own countrymen into brainwashed killer puppets. With these new minions he nearly annihilates the Tri-Brigade, Swordsoul, and Icejade tribes, before killing Ecclesia's mentor right in front of her and engaging her, Albaz, and their friends in an apocalyptic final battle.
• Crack Pairing:
  • Ecclesia is paired up with Aleister the Invoker. They've never been in the same storyline, but the meta has the Dogmatika-Invoked hybrid decks.
  • The same goes for Albaz and the Dragonmaid archetype. They've never interacted at all, but they're quite compatible as they're Dragon-based Fusion deck archetypes. Sometimes, they even add Aluber to the mix.
• Epileptic Trees:
  • The Bystial Alba Los negates the effects of all other monster types except non-Ritual Main Deck monsters and Pendulums; additionally, when removed from the field, it banishes all face-down Extra Deck monsters from both players' Extra Decks, which notably excludes Pendulums since they are placed in the Extra Deck face-up when they leave the field. Because of this, a few fans are expecting Branded Pendulums to be introduced as Albaz's counter to Alba Los's overwhelming power. These expectations started to get dashed when Alba Los ended up getting blasted to hell by Gigantic "Champion" Sargas, an Xyz monster, and Tri-Brigade Arms "Bucephalus II", a Link monster, making clear that Gameplay and Story Segregation was in effect, especially since Lubellion escaped the destruction of Alba Los, and Albaz charged at him as is while riding on a Kitt driven Lindwurm the Gunhammer Dragon.
  • According to Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, the ability to transform into dragons that's used by Albaz and Aluber is called Dragon Alchemy, which just so happens to originate from the Dracoslayer storyline, the implications of which have yet to be officially addressed.
• Fan Nickname:
  • Sprite (the citrus-flavored soda) for the Spright archetype, owing to how they're pronounced the same.
  • Aluber sometimes gets referred to as "Aluber the Boober of Doober", which was coined by Yugituber MBT.
  • Swordsoul Sinister Sovereign - Qixing Longyuan is often just referred to offhand as Evil Longyuan because of his Overly Long Name.
• Foe Yay Shipping: Owing to the fact that they're rivals in the Abyss storyline before Fleurdelis defects from the Dogmatika, Fleurdelis is often paired up with Shuraig or Ferrijit, two of the Tri-Brigade leaders.
• Genius Bonus: The unique revival condition for "Albion the Incandescent Dragon" (tributing 4 monsters, 1 each in both Extra Monster Zones and in both players' central Main Monster Zone) is inspired by the relationship diagram between the Four Zoas as illustrated by William Blake, which serves as the inspiration for the entire Abyss storyline. It's also in the shape of a diamond, exactly the same shape as the "Hole" pattern appearing in many of the artworks.
• Memetic Mutation
  • Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous and her counterparts eating huge meals in many of their fanart. ^note According to her concept art, Ecclesia is the type of girl who eats a lot of rice. Fan artists took that and ran with it. There's even a tag just for her eating. ごはんはたくさんたべるタイプ for those curious enough to look.
  • OSORO GOGGLES ^note  "Osoro Goggles" is Japanese for "Matching Goggles". In the concept artwork for Ecclesia, the Virtuous of White, there's a section where Tribrigade Kitt and Ecclesia wear matching goggles, and the title for said section was OSORO GOGGLES. They both looked so cute, that Japanese fans repeated the phrase in response to the artwork.
  • Because of their affinity with the Dragonmaid deck, Albaz and Aluber are often drawn in a Dragonmaid's outfit in some fan art.
  • Kitt's building an army^note Kitt went on a side mission with the Springan and met both the Therions and the Sprights in the process. Many semi-jokingly say that Kitt is building an FMA/Lord of the Rings style army of friends to help Albaz and Ecclesia fight against Despia. These theories eventually proved correct as the cards Tallyho! Springans! and Gigantic Thundercross show all three archetypes pulling a Big Damn Heroes and turning the tide against the Bystials.
  • Push me to the edge. All my friends are dead.^note Many point out how much Ecclesia has been put through the ringer in the story, with many people she's become friends with, including her mentor/big sister figure Fleurdelis, all dying in front of her eyes, shortly before being corrupted into Cartesia by Aluber and White Relic. Attributing the Lil Uzi song or something along similar lines has been a recurring joke among fans as a result
  • Albaz can never win.^note Despite being one of the main protagonists of the storyline and having half a dozen Fusion Monster forms of himself, Fallen of Albaz is rarely seen actually having a genuine victory in combat without outside help. For starters, he's introduced being cornered by the Dogmatika until he and Ecclesia escape with help from the Tri-Brigade, then he's driven berserk by the Serpent of Golgonda and gets attacked by Fleurdelis, and then he's Brought Down to Normal later on by Aluber just to rub more salt in the wound, with his only successful battle up to that point being him curbstomping Qixing Longyuan.
  • Longyuan having to choose between selling out his people for power or changing his gender and becoming Fleurdelis's knight. ^note In the meta, Longyuan is far more likely to be used as an easy 1.5 card combo to get out the powerful but generic Baronne De Fleur whose negation ability makes her almost universally good, than his canon synchro summon.
• Portmanteau Couple Name: The ship of Fallen of Albaz and Ecclesia is Alecc ^note Arueku for the romanization in Japan
