The Isle Dragon Roars
- Ass Pull: There is absolutely nothing foreshadowing Sherwyn's transformation into Ewyllyswyn, nor does it explain why becoming it suddenly changes his motivations from destroying the Ivory Order to destroying the world.
- It's Short, So It Sucks!: One of the most common criticisms in the game is how short it is. The campaign itself can be beaten within ten hours or less. Note that unlike Nier and Drakengard, the game doesn't have branching endings that make people replay the game from a different perspective. Yes, it does have multiple endings, but that's really about it.
- The Un-Twist: Players who are familiar with Yoko Taro's works probably won't be surprised to find out that the Dragon is not the main villain and is in fact more of a victim than anything. After all, it's sort of a writing staple of Yoko's to make the enemies much more sympathetic than they let on.
