YMMV: Vicky Cristina Barcelona
- Best Known for the Fanservice: This is that movie where Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz make out, right?
- Creator Provincialism: In 2002, Woody Allen received the Prince of Asturias Award and, immediately afterwards in Oviedo (that place Vicky somehow had never heard of), said "when I left New York, the most exciting film in the city at the time was Spanish, Pedro Almodóvar's one. I hope that Europeans will continue to lead the way in filmmaking because at the moment not much is coming from the United States." By getting his new favourite city in, perhaps he was trying to remedy this (and getting Penélope Cruz to star).
- Name's the Same: The amazing Spanish writer-director Juan Antonio Bardem is possibly given a Shout-Out with Javier Bardem's character Juan Antonio.
